I have been lucid dreaming for some years now, and have always enjoyed my experiences..... until recently. After a very enjoyable lucid dream, I was flying across a parkland and decided to set down on some grass in front of a girl. As i turned I could see three men approaching me with extremely angry expressions. The man in the middle was pushing the other two back as if to try and get to me. I started to back off as I was feeling for the first time ever in a lucid dream, slightly out of control. Knowing this was a dream scene, I stood my ground to see what would happen knowing I could not get hurt. WRONG. The man in the middle thrust a knife into my side and I was in complete agony. I had to wake myself up to end it. This has left me VERY disturbed.
I have often wondrered how your mind can generate so many individual personalities for the characters in a crowd for example. Every person I have spoken too whilst lucid has had a different personality. It's always amazed me.
I have also laughed at people that have suggested that lucid dreaming is just another doorway to another dimensional world that is occupied by the entities you see and meet in your dreams. Much like an online game. The scenary is created, the people in it are real.
My experience with the three angry men has left me wondering just how much of this is really only in our heads.
