You know, I was reading about this guy, I forget his name now, but he was having a series of lucid nightmares, so he gave up for a little while focusing on his other work. Then he got back into it slowly after months, and instead of trying to control them, he was lucid but he would just let them go with the flow. Maybe you should try to let them flow for now, and only change something when it starts to go bad on its own, without you exerting control. I've been trying to do this myself, but I always get too excited. I really want to try it though. I've had a few lucids that probably would've went better if I had just let it be.
