Fragment of Dreams
I was playing music out of an ipod with built-in speakers. It was the old kind, not the touch kind, at it was really bulky. It was the same height and width as usual, but it was really thick. The speakers were visible as little holes surrounding the scroll wheel.
1. For the first dream, I just wrote "drugs wonder". No idea what that is supposed to mean. 2. Someone had written "30 lectures - 15 - 8" on a piece of paper. I assumed it meant something like "I went to 30 lectures in a certain period of time, 15 in the next period, and only 8 in the one after that". Some other person tells them to use a certain symbol when communicating music and to spell out the word octave. The symbol was an eighth note with a line through it, so it looked kind of like a lowercase f with a note head at the bottom. They then gave an example of how to use these techniques. They wrote: 3x Bb (symbol) - 2x Bb (Oct) - 14 knowledge notes Apparently they don't even follow their own advice since they only used the symbol on the first note group and did not even spell out the word octave. But I was kind of annoyed with them mainly because the original person wasn't even trying to write music. I don't know what knowledge notes are but they sound interesting.
I listened to two pieces of music in a row. I remember thinking of one of them as 'twisty'.
When I woke up last night after this dream, I didn't have any way to write it down, so I mostly forgot it. I think it was a medium-length dream. I was on a boat trying to give out CDs to needy people, who would paddle up in their canoes to get their CD and then paddle back to land. But for reasons I can't remember I was really worried about something.
I was in a band, and we were called something that started with a lowercase m and then the next letter was capitalized. All of the band members were called mAsters. We were in a van, on tour, listening to one of our own songs on the radio. It sounded like the beatles' helter skelter.
The only thing I can remember is that I was on some website, and I looked up at the top, and it said "Private Messages - 1" or something like that, notifying me that I had an unread message. EDIT: I just remembered, and this may have been from another fragment, but I was talking to my friend Laura, who doesn't like twentieth century music, and I was telling her that she should listen to Poulenc's flute sonata.

Fragment: Cassie asks me, "Am I silent?" I tell her, "There is no silence." The dynamic of the conversation was like, she brought up Kierkegaard's Bird of the Air, Lily of the Field, and I responded with John Cage's 4:33. EDIT: Oh yeah, and while I am saying 'there is no silence', suddenly my mind is flooded with sounds of wind, birds, and even the sound of ants walking!
I am kissing Cassie.
