    Seemingly First Lucid Attempt

    by , 05-31-2016 at 08:47 AM (658 Views)
OK, so the dream started like this. I was at a Concert, it isn't clear which band, I Don't remember anything about the concert that much. But after, I was in this weird location with lots of mattresses and beautiful women, I looked into a window with these women having a dinner party, it then told me that this place was a special place for people to have sex with women.

After This, I was in my School Corridor for some reason, and, I realized, ''Wait a Minute, I'm Dreaming!'', and tried to run to my School Courtyard and Summon Down a Mech. But I don't think I've got the hang of it yet, I need more training, more reality checks, I need to try and make my dreams properly lucid. But it feels weird when you attempt it.

    Any Tips?

Also, there's no category for Semi-Lucid,

Do you have a nightly ritual/schedule yet? . I'll just tell you some of what I do. During the day you should try to be aware of your awareness. Notice things throughout the day that have color, sound, an action etc. Example: Black fan spins. Stop light, red means stop, yellow means slow down, green means go. Car is green, people drive cars. Birds are blue & loud. It sounds odd but it reinforces how things work in your mind. You are teaching yourself to be aware of your surroundings which you will do more in your dreams & in turn help you become more lucid.... Before you go to bed read about lucid everything you can. Sometimes I take screen shots on my phone of things I want to dream about & look at it during the day. Make sure you are relaxed at bedtime & know what you are going to do before you ever lay down. You need a plan. I find something on YouTube that I want to listen to while I fall asleep. Sometimes its a meditation, sometimes it's just helpful lucid sounds. Make sure you can hear it but not so loud that it distracts you from falling asleep. I meditate by relaxing my whole body little by little. Staying very still & laying on your back helps. Say I will have lucid dreams, I will remember my dreams over & over. Depending on what you choose to listen to while you are drifting off will depend on whether to keep your eyes open or not. If it's a guided meditation just do what they choose but if it's something else try & keep your eyes open for as long as you can but don't fight them closing to the point you never get to sleep. Hopefully some of this can help you.

Sooo, I don't think it's nearly as difficult as all that. It's as simple as if you believe you can then you can. If you have doubts in the dream about if you can then you will struggle. Just remember it's your dream and you can do whatever you dam well want in your dream right?

Just to try and give a little advice on being lucid in the dream itself, cues are good. If you can somehow teach yourself to recognise you're dreaming. For me it's usually because the real world and dreams work differently. So if something very unlike reality is happening you think, oh yeah I'm dreaming then tadah, lucid. It's easiest to reach that state intentionally if you're just having a light nap in the afternoon or on a morning when you can sleep in and you aren't rushed. It's that sensitive time right before you become awake in this world. Like waking up the brain earlier than the body. I like my naps for this now that I actually try and do it more often intentionally. I'll play something like a guided meditation or hypnosis track. Weird music too works for me just to give some outside stimula that can trigger the lucid part. I don't follow the mesitation or hypnosis track, it's nit neccessary. You just need something to bleed through into that sleeping mind of yours and wake it up enough for you to take control.
