Time: Around 10 PM until 10:38 PM

I have just risen from a 30 minute sleep. Had a quick dream only to be annihilated by a speeding bike. I was somewhere in a place where I used to work. Chatting with my buddy, just laughing around, talking about random stuff. Then he had to pee, so I looked at the direction on where he was going and as I looked right everything vanished and turned into a yellow dim lit office room. There was a table and like papers and like a logo at the front. That's the time I realized I was dreaming. I got so pumped up that I feel like I am about to wake up. So I remained calm trying to go back to dreaming but then a sudden loud noise burst out of nowhere which triggered me to wake up. I hate that dude or whoever that was ghost rider and shit.

      Congrats on a lucid dream!

Dream Characters can be pretty annoying and can cause you to wake up or lose lucidity. Lots of people like to stay away from them until they get better at staying in dream and retaining awareness. BUT! If your goals have to do with DCs, then staying motivated is more important.

Getting any LD is considered a win in my book.

Yeah. Too bad I can't stay with it. So disappointed when I woke up but I must carry on. Thanks for the encouragement.

My first LD lasted about 3 seconds after the onset of lucidity, so don't feel bad haha. The good news is that they get longer the more you practice them.

What BrandonBoss said about motivation is true. And have your lucid goals ready and in your mind for the next time you become lucid (like, 1-3 simple goals that are easy to recall once in a lucid dream). Knowing what you want to do in a lucid not only helps to calm you down so you don't wake up right away, but it gives you something to focus on. This focus can really help to sustain the dream length.

      Congrats again Tasho!
