First night of trying to LD

Last night I had 4 or 5 dreams. It was my first night of trying to LD, before falling asleep I kept saying that I will remember my dreams. After each dream I woke up and recited the dream in my head, I didnt want to fully wake up and write it down, after going over what happened in the dream I tried to go back to sleep. Each time before falling asleep between dreams I would be conscious and aware that I was trying to fall asleep but my mind would have semi dreams. These semi dreams while I was awake annoyed me and I thought it was preventing me from falling asleep. I think they were the beginning of a WILD (wake initiated lucid dream), I just couldnt fully enter the dream. I thought that these semi dreams would lead to my next dream, kind of set the scene for the next dream. I never fully entered it though I was always conscious and able to move. Then i'd fall asleep.
I can remember having a dream about buffy and all the characters in the show, I remember thinking about it in that semi state and getting annoyed. I remember having a dream centred around DAYZ, I was playing it but sort of in it, explaining to someone what I was doing. I was in a helicopter, in third-person, doing backflips above the trees, there was another helicopter I think and then a heat seeking missile was after me and I did a few flips but it was still on me, then I knew that if I slowed down it would get me so I kind of freaked out. I didnt know what the eject button was on the game and I crashed the helicopter and blew up. I cant remember anything else specifically but I knew there was something.

      Yo.
What you call semi-dreams sounds like the type of HH/HI, i am often experiencing something similar when falling asleep and they won't prevent you from falling asleep, since they are sensations of falling asleep. That you see them is a good sign, meaning that you are becoming more aware of falling asleep as well as sleeping state, which is good for lucidity.
If you want to try WILDing check out this tutorial, alot of good in-depth information about it there: WILD
