Sometimes I have dreams and within the dream I recognize the dream scene from a previous dream without becoming lucid. Maybe you just having a recurrent dream signaled something in your memory without you going lucid, but your subconscious calculated that you had that same dream seven years ago, so your subconscious decided to add that to your nightmare. So your subconscious cooked up a logical to waking time nightmare so to speak. That's just my theory though, I could be wrong.

Your subconscious was smart enough to turn your inner desires into a mentally tangible treat. What you do about your crush with your conscious mind is up to you

I'd say it is your subconscious using visuals to convey something to your conscious mind. For instance murdering someone in your dream doesn't mean you're a murderer in waking life. It's just a way your subconscious used visuals to convey that you murdered an old grudge, maybe even an old habit that was detrimental to your health. The way peoples subconscious convey information to a person is uniquely theirs. Unless maybe if you had conviction to get someone you loathed to kiss you like some cute fan-fiction where they hate each other but deep down have a thing for each other.

First of all i had a story like that and second of all you have a point i dated i guy i hated without knowing it and he kissed me.
