    1. Paranormal ghostly dream

Thank you in advance for reading the post, and taking a moment to reply with a helpful answer to my recent nightmare.

Last night, I went to bed very early, as I wasn't feeling well. I felt like I began to start dreaming soon after, which now is very difficult to recall specific events. What I do recall is the overall theme of the dream, which started out with non-threatening paranormal activities happening in my dream. By this, I mean that things were happening in my dream, like objects floating, but I wasn't being attacked by any entity. The first part of the dream, that I can recall, was meeting a family, and I was talking with them at their home. From here, I began hearing things in their home, which is where it gets blurry. I don't recall what exactly the sounds were, but I do remember trying to find out what it was. At some point when trying to find out what the sounds were, I became the ghost, in which I began playing tricks on the family. Many times after this point, I began waking up, to either go to the bathroom, or rolling around because my back was aching. I could not get out of the dream, and each time I fell asleep again (or continued to be asleep), I started the dream from where I left off. I remember, one time when getting up late in the dream, and thinking that this dream has broken me down to a susceptible state of possession. In this, I mean that the dream continued along, in a way, that slowly began instilling anxiety and fear, and after becoming the ghost, I realized that this entire dream state could be meant as a means for a paranormal, or evil entity, trying to possess me. In my mind, it would be much more difficult for a demon, or ghost, to possess a strong and healthy minded person. In breaking down someone emotionally, it could cause a person to be vulnerable, and susceptible, for an entity to possess it.

After the dream became more intense, and in one of my wakeful moments (bathroom breaks , I started hearing noises downstairs. I have two kids who are bunked together in a room below me and my wife's. One is three and the other is two. In hearing the noises, like something was moving, or banging against the wall, I was too frightened to move. In forcing myself to think I dreamed the noise, I closed my eyes. Right after, my three year old son was on the far side of the bed (near my wife), and was trying to climb up the bed. My son told me that he saw a ghost, and that he came up because he was scared. As you can imagine, I was struck with fear, and the realization that something wasn’t right. I assured him that it was just a bad dream, and had him sleep with me and my wife for a little while. My wife briefly woke up when my son came to bed, but I remember not telling her, because I knew it would scare both of us into a sleepless night. Additionally, she gets up to feed our newborn, which I surely wouldn’t want her terrified alone.

The night passed, and my wife woke me up early. She said that she was scared to go downstairs, because the door to the garage door was opened, and the light in the garage was on (our living room is connected to the garage). I woke up, and checked it out, but nothing was found. After this event, I stayed up, and decided to get ready for work earlier. I sat down on the couch, with my wife, and said I had to tell her something that scared me last night. I explained the above, and in addition, she recalled a paranormal nightmare as well. She rarely has nightmares, and if she does, they are falling dreams.

A few minutes later, my two sons came downstairs, and I talked to my three year old about what he saw last night. He described that he saw a lion (this is what he calls shadows on the wall). In pursuing this, I asked if the lion (shadow) tried to come up to his bed. His answer was no. I asked if it tried to come into our other son’s bed. His answer was the same. He said that it just scared him, and that’s why he came to bed with us. I left it at that, and many hours later, I’m writing this post.

The obvious question. Is this just a series of coincidental events, within the same night, or is there something to worry about? I personally have ghost dreams, on average, once per month. So, with that said, I wouldn’t be startled if it was just a ghost dream of mine. What I find odd, is the fact that I couldn’t escape the dream, and I started off where I left off after going back to bed each time. Additionally, how would my son have a similar nightmare, the same night, as well as my wife? My son has only ever said something like this one or two other times, and my wife never recalls ghost dreams. Lastly, the door and the garage light alone is enough to disturb anyone.

Again, thanks for reading this, and I’m interested in hearing your input/thoughts.
