Non-Lucid Dreams
This was the most vivid / frightening dream I have had in quite a while. First thought of the dream was me standing in the desert in the 3rd person. Me and 2 others were standing infront of our semi trucks in the middle of a vast desert. I was on the left. As being viewed from above to the left and behind the semi's. There were a group of men dressed as the taliban (one piece clothes and face masks.) Apparently I was able to undersand them however I dont recall them actually talking. We were to be executed. Once again I had the feeling that I was a truck driver in a convoy in either Iraq or Afginaistan. As I waited to be executed I 100% believed I was about to die. In my dream I was in complete fear that I was going to be shot. I started thinking and hoping it wouldnt hurt, saying to myself over and over "please dont hurt, please dont hurt" and was having a hard time remembering my wife, friends and family to tell them I loved them before I died. I wanted to say good by to them, however I was so scared I was having trouble remembering them. I was then in the 1st person. and then remember ducking behind my open driver side door. In the dream I knew the gun fire had started but I dont remember hearing any sounds. It seems as if a couple seconds had passed and I felt as though I knew the other 2 drivers were dead, and I was about to peek my head out from around the truck, when my alarm went off. I have the "sleep cycle" app on my iphone which supposedly wakes you up at a optimal sleep time. This is what happened and was woken up 20 minutes prior to what time I normally would. I was so realeaved to just be dreaming that I jumped out of bed and began my day. Not realizing till 1/2 through my shower that I was awake 20 minutes early. This dream was almost a week ago but has really stuck with me. I think because it was the most scared I have been in a dream in quite a long time. I was 100% convinced I was about to die. However I wouldn't classify it as a nightmare.
