Non-Lucid Dreams
Last night was the first night ever I tried WBTB. I honestly expected quite a lot, as it has been reported to be an incredibly effective way of achieving lucidity - I won't exaggerate at all by saying I have been tremendously satisfied, even though this was my very first attempt. I could recall a total of three highly vivid and detailed dreams... which were, for the least, tense. Brace yourselves. N.B.: Those dreams only happened after doing WBTB. I was semi-lucid in all of them; I had the feeling I was in a dream but I didn't always manage to actually realize I had one or take control. Dream 1: A dream that must well have spanned over an hour. It kicked off in a German class, with me and a bunch of friends being in the classroom where are always held our German lessons. I was sitted at the very front row, a tad on the left. I can't remember much of what we talked about, but I believe everything was pretty normal at that point. A split second afterwards, the whole dream scene changed into another classroom, which seemingly was one of my school's room that actually exist, but it was reversed in my dream. Our biology and history teachers were present and we were debating about political news in France (and, if I'm not mistaken, about immigration issues). This rather troublesome dude in my class, P.C., was, as usual, pressing his arguments forwards, pretty much ignoring the reactions of both teachers. To his habit of making teachers rather angry, he succeeded once again; my bio teacher had his eyebrows frown and appeared to be slightly pissed off, and so was my history teacher who was resting her hands against a table while she was standing up. I even think my history teacher told me he 'talked without actually knowing the reality of things', something she often points out. Next on, I end up being in the exam room, where our two weekly exams take place IRL. It actually looked different; although it still had its initial size, it was much more bright due to the addition of massive window panes on either sides of the room (back & front). The room was recently renovated, and they changed pretty much everything; in the dream, there still were the old tables & the old floor, but they were clean, white and neat, whereas the whole place was dirty before. Again, I was sitted at the top front-right row, on the alley side (left-hand side). Besides me, three 12th-graders (exclusively girls, to my knowledge) were completing an empty geography map, somewhat appearing to be a map of Syria. I took a look at one of their maps, laughed a bit with them, and put myself back to work. At this point, I found myself sitted a bit back; I had moved back by one row and was now sitting on the wall side. A desktop PC, along with a keyboard and a mouse, had appeared on the table; I thought: "Hey, this is cool, I'm going to use it!". What I didn't realize was that I was in the middle of a history exam - thus, as soon as I began typing to google something on Internet Explorer, one of my best friends which was sitted to my left turned his head towards me and said: "I don't think we're allowed to do that.. I can hear keystrokes". Right then, my history teacher, who was watching us all as we were taking the exam (she shouldn't have been here - we always supervisors to keep an eye on us, but teachers are not allowed to do it). She suddenly turned her head and started shouting violently at me, asking whether I was dumb, and telling that using a computer during an exam was strictly forbidden. Meanwhile, I misclicked and accidentally closed the Internet browser (OR it might have unwillingly shut itself down). I bit my bottom lip as I initially planned to use it to show my teacher I was not searching anything related to history; then a blonde gal (A.B.), in my IRL class, shouted back at my teacher and whole-heartedly said I actually did not do so. Needless to say, my teacher ignored her, and the head-of-supervisors (S.B.) came into the exam room. My history teacher eventually told me I was going to be thrown out of school after being reviewed by a disciplinary panel, then I was ordered to leave and follow S.B., but I noticed that I soon as I stood up, the sky adopted a dark, purple shade. The exam room itself also had been shortened; seemingly, a lot of the back rows had been cut out and the entrance door was much closer to my table than it previously was. While getting out of the exam room, I screamed: "Fuck this! I didn't even fucking cheat! I can't abandon my fucking class representative position!" - and I glared at everyone with an anger-filled gaze. We then headed out, into the schoolyard. Due to the colour of the sky, I would be tempted to assume it was a mid-spring evening, at around 7-8PM. Still devastated, I implored S.B. to help me out, though she only told me the final decision was not her choice but the disciplinary panel's one. All of a sudden, as we walked a few steps further, the sky turned bright, sunny and cloudless, and it revealed the tall apartment complex that faces both the schoolyard and the high school's main building (it exists IRL); a small fence separated the yard from the outter side of the building. In front of the fence stood a lengthy flower bed, and besides it appeared a small stream, which was shadowed upon by not-so-imposing trees. S.B. passed the flower bed then crossed the stream, eventually jumping above the fence, thus making her way in the building yard; she looked up at the windows, seemingly seeking a precise one. She quickly and vigorously shuffled to her right, stopping at a re-entrant corner which I saw from her perspective, while, I assume, I stayed in the schoolyard. From there on, she yelled "David, come here!" and some Edward Norton-looking guy sticked his head through an open window, at the third or fourth floor. Surprisingly, I put myself in David's shoes as soon as he was called by S.B. I found myself locked in a tiny dark room while I was looking straight ahead, glaring at the sky through an open window; I felt another one was behind me, which would have been the one through which David had shown himself to S.B., but I refrained myself from turning around. A sure thing, though, is that I was exhausted and slightly dizzy. Out of nowhere - or, I speculate, the hallway that would have led to the room -, I heard men shouting: "Go, go, go, he's here, catch him, go!". For some reason, I knew they had to be looking for me. Although a panic wave crossed my body, I did not hesitate a single second before climbing onto that window. I saw a yard filled with fresh, green grass, which was blocked ahead by a wooden fence. I jumped out and started running. The way I was running was extremely strange; I couldn't turn right or left, as my body was being blocked by my left brain hemisphere (and I felt it). The only way I could steer was to move backwards, which moved me a bit further onto my right side everytime I took a step. Meantime, I was running through this magnificient yet massive yard, I saw tons of flowers, mainly red and yellow tulipaes, but my drowsiness and my fatigue badly affected me. I heard footsteps besides me and even though I kept running, I came to a full halt when a special agent appeared behind. He looked exactly the same way as those countless agents seen in American action films, but if I specifically had to describe him, I would say he was a mix between Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer, 24) and Neil Patrick Harris (Barney Stinson, How I Met Your Mother). Withdrawing his pistol from its holster, he started shooting at me. The landscape transformed in a green valley while I was dodging one by one the bullets shot by the agent. Upon having nearly finished his magazine, he only had one round left, and I shouted out: "Let's see who's the fucking man, gimme that fucking gun!". I did not really expect him to do it either, but he nevertheless executed the order. I spinned onto my heels and the gun changed into a massive, bulky arrow, while a horse ridden by a knight in a fancy, exotic flashy yellow-blue-purple carnival outfit ran in front of my eyes. I forcefully threw the arrow at the horse and it struck him down, thus resulting in the horse and the knight falling down onto the ground, both dead. I walked to the knight's corpse and looked over my shoulder at the agent; "Who's the fucking man, now?". That was enough for him to crumple down and die instantly. Finally, in the last chunk, I spawned in an extremely tiny room. It had a particular design - the walls, the ceiling and even the floor were made of black and white glowy squares. The best similarity that comes up to my mind is those squares on dancing pads that are used on old arcade games machines. Two of my friends stood alongside me; E.C. on the left and H.C. on my right. H was 'inflating' his head and making funny jokes about his 'big' head, while E was a bit scared but still found it amusing and laughed at it. The dream eventually faded. Dream 2: This one was a stressful dream. I'll try to keep it relatively short. Sitting at my desk, I was casually browsing on Internet when my mom bursted into the hallway, rambling around and holding a syringe: "Look at what I've found in your brother's room! He's not even hiding anymore that he fucking shoots himself. There also is the protective cap." The effect of surprise turned into massive worrying on my side, but I already suspected my brother was into 'hard' drugs prior to this event. I think that my brother was hanging out with some friends in his bedroom when my mom went there, or it might have been after they had left. Anyhow, I found myself in my school's exam room (once again...) on a bright and sunny day. There were a few parents, as it seems a conference was going on. I stood up and left the room, thus reaching the middle school playground. My brother was waiting for me at the exit; the sky was sort of orange (as if someone had put an mild orange filter). While exposed parts, such as the playground, were perfectly enlightened by the sun, the slope besides it, which in real life is also bright if the weatheris sunny, were shadowy. My goal there was to bring my brother to the medical room. As soon as we met, he told me he wasn't in his normal state. My mom told me that I shouldn't explicitly declare to my brother I knew he was taking crack, so I refrained from doing that and instead act as a surprised kiddo, but I didn't tell much either. As we were midway down the slope, we entered the hallway that led to the medical room, but it was simply dark. My brother felt he could not make it through the hallway, so I left him a bit behind while he stopped. As I was about to open the door at the end of the hallway, that leads to a staircase, I noticed one of my friends was walking nearby as if we wanted to go somewhere together. Upon opening the door, I saw a black sports teacher - or so I assume; in my dream, I thought he was an elementary school teacher, as there was a whole class of kids behind him. He was grinning at me with an absolutely weird stare, overall looking like a scary smiley smiling. At that point, I did a reality check. I tried to push my finger through my palm, but it failed; as my 'friend' told me to be careful, I attempted to block my nose and to breathe at the same time, but I felt my breathe was either getting blocked or going through. All this confusion led to the loss of the scene. However, I reappeared in a sort of classy, party club lounge, with a huge carpet and immense sofas set on each side of it. At first, my brother and I were among the few people who were present, but additional persons arrived, filling up the gaps. Everyone was talking, and there were some old people (grannies especially) in the first place, who were replaced by young adults or teenagers as people came in. My brother lied back in one of the sofas, passively glaring at the whole scene. Dream 3: This dream stopped pretty quickly, as my alarm rang a bit after it had started. All I remember is that I was in Africa, in the back shop of some clothes store; I needed to get an avocado, for some reason. It turns out the African woman, wearing a traditional African dress along with a bandana, with whom I was, could not find any; I managed to find two but they were old and tough as rock. She then told me she had apples and I told her I was fine with that, considering I could replace avocados with apples for what I wanted to do. She showed me a gigantic pear/apple that was about two meters tall... this didn't even make me blink. As I spotted a few Asians entering the main store, my alarm rang and I woke up.

Dream/non-lucid | Lucid | Extra notes I'm hanging out with gangsta friends in what appears to be Los Santos (GTA SA) near Grove Street. I enter in a weed shop and a few moments later, I'm outside in a park, smoking a blunt. My parents are calling me for diner... though they're nowhere to be found. There's nobody in the park. I don't feel the effects of the weed at first but then I walk down an alley and my vision becomes blurry and shadowy and I'm getting disorientated. I'm also wearing my night clothes. It was the end of a dream. I could recall it 'cause my alarm clock rang right then.
Dream/non-lucid |*Lucid |*Extra notes So lately I haven't been able to recall my dreams. I started using Puffin's SAT a week ago but only had 1 LD so far... I'm still hoping that it works! I'm down a slope. It's made of grass and trees are on either side of it. It's very sloppy yet I can walk up and two friends come from nowhere. There's one holding a PSP UMD, and he says something along the line of "MegaROMs are ten times smaller than a PSP UMD". So we walk a bit up a hill and we see a small battlefield. There are "bunker houses" and bridges. Right then I get on the roof of a house and I've got a sniper, with a thermical detector. I can see my enemies coloured in red, blue and green. So I kill a few ones but they keep coming back and they've spawned me. I'm still too quick for them and they can't get me. That's all I could remember... Now some older dream fragments have came back to me. There's one where I'm in my apartment hall, and everything's black outside. There are a few people near the POs and we all get in the elevators. Also, speaking of elevators, there's a dream that I used to have (happened a few times) that came back to my mind. It's one where I'm in the elevator usually with someone else or alone, and the elevator just goes in the opposite direction as you tell it to go, or it even reaches higher storeys than the building has. If I'm not mistaken, I think I had a LD by realizing that it was going nowhere.
Non-dream | Dream Background: As Dead Space 2 got out in January, I figured out it'd be really cool to give it a try. However, I was skeptical whether I had to play and finish the first opus, or I could play directly. Thus, I've been looking for Dead Space for one or two month(s). The store described in my dream is owned by the same society IRL as the one in my dream. Dream: I spawn in a blurry room. It's very futuristic, with somehow a modern lightning. There are LOTS of rows, on which objects are stored: they're all disposed diagonally. There are a few people: I can see a salesman walking down the rows. I go to the video games department, looking for some old PS2 games, then I find myself on a storey, with some sales(wo)men. I'm asking them if they have Dead Space -- they tell me they do, it's worth 89,99€. They also say I could buy it for 2€ somewhere else, and that I'm lucky they still have the game in their stock. One saleswoman (she's mid/small-sized, she's in her 40s, and has short brune hair) goes away to search the game, but she doesn't come back. It's probably not where the dream ends, but it's all I could remember. I was kinda tired (went to bed at 3AM). I somehow have the feeling I'm going to have a LD soon!
Non-dream | Dream Background: I can't really explain the background for this dream. In my family, they suspect my elder brother to smoke pot. In Gmod, I've been struggling to construct a proper car :p Dream: My first view of the dream is a big house. I'm in front of it, I've stood back enough to see it fully. Two storeys, with three windows on each storey. A nice black BMW is parked. My parents (they were not my real ones) appear and we get in the car. Dad wants to make a test drive on a muddy steep slope, especially to test the ESP. He drives slowly, with the ESP activated and finally succeed. Then, there's a climb-up. Dad also succeeds here. We get out of the vehicle, and I find myself having a Xbox-360 customized scooter. I reappear in a climb-up street that is near my real house. I can see some child. After I've climbed up a bit, I find myself back in my real home. There isn't a lot of light, the shades are all closed, except the ones in the lounge which are 3/4 closed. The diner table isn't at its right place. My brother and some of his friends get out of his bedroom and hang out. Though, I can see a guy who is in my guitar-lesson group. They all look stoned... This dream ends here. Then, I can remember a fragment: I'm in the biggest playground of my school, playing with one of my friends.
Non-dream | Dream Background: Lately, I've been having lots of fun on Gmod since I bought it. It's such a nice game . I can really thank my nightly thirst. I waked up thirsty in the middle of the night and used this as a way to recall the dream I had just done. Dream: As the dream starts, I find my way out of a water-tunnel (did I get out of the sewers? Looks like I did). I notice I'm actually following Milla Jovovich. Then we sit near the exit (of the tunnel). I ask her to show me some special effects. She then spawns two canon-guns and shoots two big canons. They explode in the water and spread a huge smoke over it. The smoke quickly moves towards us but doesn't affect us. Then, Milla notices there's a kind of old, rusty, messy motor deep in the water. We dive and swim down to reach the motor. Milla sticks a little tube to it (just looks like an AA battery). She tells me: "That was my objective". Then I wake up and this allows me to remember the dream. I get myself a drink. Then, I spawn in an Exeter-like street. At the end of the street is a huge fence, but it is perfectly organized (perpendicular, etc.). It covers a school. I turn left, go forwards and enter the school. I'm directly on the playground. On the right is the "high" side, and on the left the "down" side. There's a huge rectangle triangle coming out from the high side and that blends in the down side. Some pupils are playing -- my age, but I don't know 'em --. Somehow, a little button spawns on the top of the triangle (it exactly is Gmod's Advanced Pod Controller) and some wires get connected to it. This was where my dream stopped, and I woke up. Side notes: I somehow knew I'd be thirsty during the night, since I often have to wake up and drink a bit. However this time I used it as a way to recall my dream, which is a pretty nice method. I'll look forwards to make it happen again.
Dream (non-lucid) | Lucid dream Background: Yesterday, before going to bed, I watched the whole "American Gangster" movie, which talks a lot about heroine and the US Army. Dream: At the start of my dream, I was an US soldier, and got slightly injured (I fell on my arm). A colleague managed to disinfect the wound and bandage it. We walked for a few seconds and found ourselves on a memorial place, with a few generals; right next to this place was an open-air "holy sanctuary". The sanctuary consisted of a cube from which (if I'm right) a few colons emerged -- eight, I think. Around the cube were "holy" stairs, on which I walked on with my dad (what was he doing here?) ; however, some Indian-Mexicans (who were probably prayers) told us not to walk here in a shocked way. Then I had a FA, and found myself in my classroom. Everyone was taking a massive amount drug pills -- I can't recall what drug --, saying it'd help them focus (even the best pupil took a lot of them). I didn't, though. We were all talking about these. Then I went to a big gymnasium which was used as a classroom for 2 classes, and the doctor I met last week (IRL) was our French teacher. The class went on normally but the teacher looked weird... She was on drugs as well. She told us at the end of the class she snorted cocaine at the teacher's room, with one pupil of my class (sometimes). And then, I'm in a huge and modern two-storey train (I'm on the 2nd storey). My German teacher is sitting on the row next to me. We pass by my train station. From there, I can see what the train driver sees... There are three or four kids walking on the railway, but the train gets past them. I find that weird. Then we pass through a wall, which gets us into a tunnel. In the tunnel, the train goes past another group of kids. Arriving at the next station, I look at the hour. The hour goes from 11:12 (displayed in green) to weird characters (displayed in red) -- I realize I'm dreaming, but get too excited, and the dream fades away. I was pretty happy when I found out I was dreaming, but obviously too excited, and couldn't control the dream. I thought "Oh, all those efforts and I finally have a lucid dream! Yay!". Still, it's nice to have found out I was dreaming.
Dream | Non-dream Background: This was my Friday-to-Saturday's night dream. On Saturday, I go to the same supermarket I dreamt of. However, in my dream, it is a bit different -- it's organized differently. I was already in the supermarket. Everything was all black, but I hit someone. I heard some guy saying: "Hey, this is our private meeting, get out!", but then, the whole shop lit up and I saw LOTS of people arriving. There was an official announce (government) but I can't remember what it was. I was at the enter of the supermarket, and decided to buy a few things. The first foods I saw were different types of ham. There were two or three rows of them, but one weird thing appeared right up: two rows of video games... most precisely Warcraft III Collector's Edition. I didn't realize this was wrong. I could have gone lucid :/ My parents and I went to the hanging wardrobe where we'd deposit our coats for free, exceptionally, as it was one of the supermarket's offer. It should have cost us $686 precisely, but we only paid $6 'cause they said 6 out of the 7 coats we deposited had hoods. This is all I can remember from tonight. I'm quite surprised that the stand with the video games and the ham at the same place didn't tilt in my head... Furthermore, I looked a long time at the video games, which is even more annoying ^^. Anyway, I hope I'll soon have a lucid dream! I was already in the supermarket when my dream started, clearly at the enter. I saw lots of people. Apparently, there was something going on -- I could not know what it was, but the government had announced something.
Since the last dream I recalled, I had the impression that I wasn't dreaming anymore, this is quite annoying... Anyway, here's another dream. I found myself in a special intervention unit w/ Jack Bauer and some other teammates. I must lead an anti-terrorist mission. First, I see a black military helicopter flying over a bright-green lake, then some film-makers who are talking around a table. I see a female who looks like John Galliano (at least she has the same clothing style). Then, I find myself into a HUGE party room (with rich people and all, you know), and Jack Bauer is onstage. He chooses his weapons for the mission (on the back of the stage are hung up lots of MP5 and a few AK47s), but he gets angry cause they don't wanna give him both a MP5 and an AK47, and he just goes with the MP5. I'm sitting in the back of the room (which is, indeed, opposed to the stage), in a dark corner. Afterwards, my teammates, Jack Bauer and I are in a really dark space, only surrounded with a few red lights (looks like a military place); I hear Jack swearing he's going to take revenge against someone because his sister died. We run towards some small grey-black metallic platforms. I now am in a kitchen, in the morning, with a teammate. The windows' shutters are half-closed, so some sweet bright light comes in the room. We wear some military clothes and have some huge protection & weapons. We find once again two of these platforms and we kick them. They lead us into a yellow room, with the name of a general written on a wall. We once again kick two platforms and find ourselves on the top of a roof. There are two terrorists; there's one in a cage at the left of the roof, with a little black/white globe (it looks very pixellized) near him. We shoot him down. There's another terrorist, in a cage as well, at the center of the roof; he leaves before we can shoot him. His cage goes down a huge building structure. I jump in an attempt to follow him even though I don't see the cage anymore, but I hit myself and a health-bar appears (just as in video games) telling me I've got 1 HP remaining. Then I don't stop falling, but I wake up.
