I am standing at the bottom of a long concrete staircase, at the top of which is a large building with a golden dome. I am packing my bag to go somewhere while I talk on the phone, next to a bronze statue of a four legged animal. I'm telling the person on the phone that it has just started to snow, even though it's the first day of fall. The trees are bare as though it is winter, and the sky is gray and overcast with a few flakes of snow drifting down slowly.
I put my bag over my shoulder and begin to walk. I'm on a path walking through a wooded area, next to a highway. I hear someone making distressing noises across the road, which is to my right, that are supposed to be some kind of animal call. Every time I think it is some kind of animal and have to remind myself it is only a person imitating an animal. They begin making some kind of guttural rumble, and at that moment the most beautiful horse I have ever seen comes tearing through the woods from my left towards the road, disappearing into some bushes. It is thin and small, black with white spots and moving impossibly fast. i seem to watch it move over and over.

I am laying on a futon in a friends dorm room, and the tv is on, playing something I can't make out. the room is dark and the only light is coming from the hallway through the open door. The room is filled with people that I used to know from high school and other places.
