I was at a school event, but the school was a combination of college and Hogwarts. It was an outdoor thing, and some people from my high school were also there. A friend and I wanted to leave for a while so we went down to the catacombs. It was dark and mysterious, and there were secret doorways and hidden staircases and shadows of moving people that we could only half see. He left to go up one of the staircases to get something or do something he'd forgotten about, and I continued. It was a crazy place, full of darkness and magic and excitement always lurking around the next bend, and when I emerged back into the light and the normal college scene I felt removed, like I no longer belonged, like I knew something beyond what the others could imagine.
