    1. False Awakening, yo.

      by , 10-05-2010 at 09:54 PM
The dream started in a boiler room. I was not lucid at this point. Strangely enough, I saw Freddy Krueger. I remember not fearing him at all. I felt as if he was just there, as if I was "seeing gravity." I saw him run up to me, unopposed I let him have a go at my throat. I felt a sudden surge of fear at that moment, but felt nothing. This is when I awoke, but it was not my room. At this point I remembered reading of false awakening and I realized I was not in reality.. At that point I heard a scraping at my door. When I looked up my arm was extended with Freddy's glove on it. I then remember jumping from the second story of the home, only to discover the ground was endless. I stuck out my hand as to catch myself. In doing so I clutched a ledge that I had not seen before. Above that ledge was a series of manors. I ran straight for the manor only to find they were merely an image. As I remained running through the mansions, I came to the final home. My grandfather's home from my childhood. We spent nearly a year their when I was a very young child. I was always fearful of this place, I believed there was something wrong, and this came to life in my dream. I saw images of all my dead relatives, and I decided I'd like to see my late father. When confronted with him, walking into the room, with not a clear view of his face, I awoke.
    2. Acceptance

I had a dream last night, I remember making a conscious decision to accept what was happening to me in the dream, although I was not aware I was dreaming. I assume this dream was triggered by the song I was listening to as I fell asleep named "2012" by The World Alive. I was standing on what I believed to be my grandmother's porch with my family inside, although upon waking I realized there was no resemblance to her house whatsoever. After eating what I believe to be Thanksgiving dinner I heard a hissing coming from outside. Upon walking outside I realized this hissing was a strong wind. I came to the conclusion that the world was ending and an asteroid had landed somewhere in Korea. I came to accept the reality that my life was ending and in my final moments, with my family screaming in horror for me to return inside their home I held out my arms as if to invite death to take me away. I stood there in a T shape, praying to someone, possibly god, possibly just a greater power, for a few moments before the light consumed me. I awoke to the realization I was alive. I smiled, and headed off.
