I believe this lucid dream was wake induced because I didn't perform any reality checks in the dream yet I knew it was a dream and I had a terrific amount of control over the environment. It felt like a really long dream however I think I could've only been dreaming for a maximum of 30 minutes, if I had dreamt the entire time I was asleep. It started that I was in a small house that had a lot of furniture that was all covered in little bunnies. Something came into the house to chase me out so I flew into the roof knowing that I could escape and fly because I was already lucid however I don't remember doing a reality check so I can only assume it was a WILD. As I flew through the ceiling of the house it turned into water and I began to swim towards the surface, knowing I could not drown because it was just a dream and nothing could hurt me. The surface of the water led me to a beautiful world similar to the opening shots of Maleficent (I had watched this movie the night before). I flew around the scenery like Maleficent did in the film. I landed and entered a theme park. I played on the waterslides at the park. I was approaching the waterslide as a weird looking cartoon-like beatboxer dude walked past me, he distracted me and I got pushed down the waterslide and attacked by a mutual follow guy on Tumblr called Luke. I knew I could easily escape so at the bottom of the waterslide I changed situation. I was in Steph's house, which was also an electronics store. I sat down on a bench beside a person wearing a large baggy orange sweatshirt and drank a sugary blue drink. I think I fell asleep or blacked out because I awoke and I was dribbling this blue drink everywhere. Someone started chasing/attacking me so I ran and imagined a new environment. I ended up in a car travelling to a busy rugby game at 'Eden Park' although it was more like a random sports arena in the clouds. I saw Justin there and started to walk in. I'm unsure if I was meant to watch the game or work there for it. Then I wound up back at the door of the house full of bunnies. A tiny bunny, squirrel and guinea pig invited me inside, the squirrel making a 'come in' gesture with it's hands. I went in and saw all the bunnies on the furniture again and decided to fly through the roof. It turned into water so I knew it was going to be a cycle and decided to wake up then. I didn't lie still for long enough and it was a really long, variant and detailed dream so the recollection I have is quite vague.
Since my last lucid dream I have been actively trying to wake myself up during a dream so I can become lucid. I have found that it seems to be something that takes some practice! I've been thinking about lucid dreaming a lot during day to day activities and doing some 'reality checks' to test if I am awake. In this dream I was walking through a dim narrow corridor with a work mate called Raechel. There was a slim middle-aged man wearing a blue/grey shirt bald with glasses who was telling me to constantly question if I was awake (something sunk in haha!). I walked with Raechel through a doorway and looked down to find that I was holding a cup. I became lucid at this point and tried falling backwards and spinning to stay in the dream. When I looked up from the cup, Raechel was gone so I looked back to the doorway I had walked through and called out her name. Then I turned to the door in front of me and called out "Rose", the name of the first girl who I loved and who broke my heart. (I am currently trying to get over her in my real life). I touched the walls of the corridor and discovered they were covered in snow so I wrote in large, looping, connected capital letters "ROSE I <3 U" before waking up to write down the dream.
Sam K was driving me and Sophie around the mountains where there was loads of road works. The pedals were slippery and she kept accidentally hitting the accelerator instead of the brake. Me and Sophie would jump and panic and scream every time and then Sam said she just wanted to floor it so she did. She sped around a corner and there was a car there so she turned sharply to the left and sent us flying over a cliff. The car rolled in midair and I could feel myself waking up. This is when I realised I was in a dream, I remembered a conversation that two guys at work were having about lucid dreaming and James had said to stay in the dream you have to fall backwards so I tried to fall backwards but it was too scary to commit to it! I was worried that I would see my friends or myself get killed in the car accident once it finally hit the ground so I woke up instead.
