    Beautiful Picked Notes

My dream recall took some sort of a shitdive a month ago, so I decided to get back here to start a DJ again. I've been here long ago under a different name, but that's not really of so much importance now.
My dreams are rather ordinary, there's no slaughtering civilians or defending the world from an evil overlord type situations arising really. I don't have nightmares very often either. You'll see.

    1. Lego Land!

by , 09-30-2011 at 09:17 AM (Beautiful Picked Notes)
I had a rather amusing dream tonight, that took me and a couple of my friends to Lego Land. We didn't just go there, we broke in at night. My memory sucks on this one sadly, but I remember some stuff toward the end. One of my friends was constantly on the phone, which is pretty much realistic. Then we discovered a place that let you put together your own cars and drive them around, so we did that. There was a big, frozen lake to one side of the road and high mountains to the other. The lake at one point was able to carry the weight of a car. Inside the Lego Land building, it looked kinda like a spooky Mario Cart course, complete with gray brick walls and spiderwebs all over the place.
At some point I realized that what we were doing was a good old breaking and entering and could get us really deep into some bullshit so I decided to get the group to start leaving the place. When everyone agreed, the scenery suddenly changed and we were in the hallway of the house that I live in for real, putting on our shoes and getting ready to leave. Someone complained about leaving so early.

I know that there might be the basics to remember some more dreams from tonight, but at the moment that's all I can recall. Not that impressive.

Aaaaand bang, there it is already.
After I kinda involuntarely WBTB'd this morning, I dreamt about driving my girlfriend to the nearby city's central train station on a Scooter. Three friends of mine were convoying me in their cars. When we arrived at the station, I actually rode the Scooter all the way up to the platforms and kept dragging it along with me wherever I went. My girlfriend soon boarded a train and left and I walked around exploring the station. It had an old looking gym in it, where some people were sitting on the stands. On the stairs that led to the stands, a kid of about 8 years was throwing up as I walked past him. In a far corner of the station there was a restaurant. I've dreamt of the station looking like this before, eventhough it's really far off from reality. I left the Scooter at the restaurant to go look for my friends. When I found them, I immediately went back to retrieve it, but the sister of a friend of mine took it because it was apparently hers. I was bummed since now I didn't know how to get home, so the most rational thing for me to do was to just get a bowl of chili (also dreamt about that goddamn chili before, Jesus) at the restaurant, so I got in line. Somewhere around that time, the dream ended.

    2. Suck it.

by , 09-29-2011 at 10:16 AM (Beautiful Picked Notes)
About half a year ago, I had a rather unfriendly confrontation with some crackhead, who punched me from behind, threw me to the ground and kicked me in the face, it was a whole thing. We never met again, sadly.

So this night, I dreamt I was at a local drug store and he waltzed in there. At first, I tried to avoid confrontation and left the store. As he left and walked past me, nothing happened, but when he turned around and saw me, he started running toward me, covering his mouth and nose with his left hand. I obviously took the chance and socked him right in the face as hard as I could. He was startled for a moment but the punch didn't floor him, so he started throwing at me like crazy. His punches never really hit and when they did, they weren't powerful at all. Neither were mine though, because I couldn't seem to move my arms fast enough. He started fleeing several times but I got madder and madder, stopping him each time to keep swinging at him. After a particularily botched attempt at kicking for him, he stumbled to the ground and dragged me down. While we were in the middle of a terrible fight, loads of passers-by just, well, passed by. Nobody even looked at us.
The whole thing went on for about ten minutes until my recall ends without remembering who came out the victor. Dammit.

    3. Cruise ships and car thiefs.

by , 09-26-2011 at 10:41 AM (Beautiful Picked Notes)
So this time, I find myself on a cruise ship along with a lot of people I know from school. On deck, I set next to my girlfriend and we talk about some of the other guests until we spot a girl that has a comically oversized nose, to which I refer as a "jew-nose".
It turns out that the ship we're on is actually getting towed along by a huge oil tanker and when we stop in (at that point) open water, I get up to look around. To three sides there is an extremely artificial looking beach, to the last side there's a wall. We're indoors now, the two huge ships are still there. Someone gets up on a podium and starts announcing the three most retarded things people have done onboard and while I don't remember the runners-up, my "jew-nose" thing got number one and I held a speech that was pretty much a mock. After the speech, I cannonball into the water with an enthusiastic scream, but get caught submerged because I suddenly wear a heavy coat that sucks itself full of liquid and gets too heavy for me to carrry up to the surface. I try getting it off, but the dream ends amidst my attempt.

What I also do remember is a fragment of my dad walking around a parking garage, speaking dutch (!?) and stealing an Audi by help of a USB-Device. He gets in the car and drives away, but I still hear him clearly, saying how hard life was and how now he was the bad man for stealing, when he shouldn't be. I then get tempted heavily to steal my sister's bike and sell it. The alarm clock goes off, I awake.

    4. Intoxicated

by , 09-24-2011 at 02:09 PM (Beautiful Picked Notes)
I'll only outline tonight's dream as it's quite heavily fragmented and I don't have a lot of time right now. Let's put down before all this that I got pretty blasted last night...

The dream starts on a city street, close to the scene of a traffic accident. To one side of the road, there's the huge parking lot of a huge, and I mean huge shopping mall. I meet up with a girl I don't recall knowing. On the way to the accident scene, a fire truck delibaratley runs an ambulance off the road.
On our way to the mall, the girl and I get fired at with a teargas grenade that doesn't ignite. The girl is very... easy to hassle and talks ear-piercingly loud. She also seems to have an affection for swearing like a sailor.
We find that an old lady working at the hairdresser fired the grenade to "defend herself". Inside the mall, I want to buy groceries, but the grocery store was rearranged and I can't find shit, so we leave again. Big gap in memory here.
Next thing, I'm in a group that kind of reminds me of "All in the family", moving through an area that looks like a messy area of a big city. There's a lot of traffic accidents we come by, but thinking about it that might have always been the same accident scene. At some point, a couple of police officers acompany our trip. We all make our way into some building, this is where memory completely fails me.
The trip through the city was much more detailed, but sadly I can't recall much.

    5. A Snowy Nightmare

by , 09-23-2011 at 10:41 AM (Beautiful Picked Notes)
It's fall in the northern hemisphere and where I live it's a nice, warm fall. My subconscious apparently decided to screw that and I ended up with a night in which almost every single dreaming moment took place in a snow-filled winter setting. So did tonight's most memorable dream.

It started off with the unsettling feeling that it's a nightmare. There's the dreaming equivalent of "My gut tells me something bad is going to happen", it's got "Nightmare" written all over it but you just don't know it 'cause you don't know it's a dream.
In reality, I'm out of school since June. In the dream, I find myself walking my way from the bus stop up to the school buildings and somebody's watching me. Without ever looking in his direction, I know where he is. Later in the dream, I would also know where he lives.
I walk past him, I'm feeling cold. I make my way to the school and not much happens for a while. Our school buildings are significantly bigger than what reality has to offer, but that's a recurring theme for me. Then there's a gap in the fabric.
Again, I find myself walking up from the bus stop. Again, I know he's watching me. I feel even more unsettled than last time, but this time my girlfriend is with me and I decide not to take it. He's watching me from the first or second story of the building all the time, but I seemingly know that he lives in its basement. To give him a scare, I bang a twig against his basement window. I hear chatter about the situation, acoustically it is close to me, when my head percieves it like it's further away. Its content appears to revolve around "Yeah, he's a weirdo" and "I know him for years, he's strange". Nothing happens, another gap.
The same scene again, this time I'm alone. I walk past him, but this time I see him. He stares at me from his window, that goes low enough to allow all of his torso down to his waist to be visible. He stares. Just stares. There's a cold chill running down my back as I write this down. I walk past him just a bit. Another gap.
The scene restarts once again. All is the same, but this time he grins. His grin shows not happines, it ridicules me. It despises me. A grin so oversized and inhuman, Picasso could have done no better. It's not cheesy or goofy, it is nothing that a human could produce. And it scares me.
The scene restarts again. He grins as I start to boil with fright and anger. I try to turn around and not walk past him, but I can't. In my desperation, I pick snow from the ground and hurl it at him. I hit him - he vanishes.
Finally, a different setting forms. I'm not alone, my girlfriend is with me. We are not in a familiar place. It's a city street with the charme of a TV set. A long, curved street with midrise buildings to both sides of it, the front walls about 10 yards off the road with green grass between the asphalt and the concrete. A single bus stop on the street ahead of us.
We're walking along and nothing seems out of the ordinary. Her coat is beautiful. Then I see him, 50, maybe 70 yards down the street ahead. He's watching us through a pair of binoculars. In spite of the distance, I see his grin. Occasionally, he waves at us. When he does, his grin stretches even more, goes from ugly to hideous. He looks a little younger than what I had in mind from seeing him at the window and his face provokes a distant reminiscence of a friend of mine, who looks somewhat alike. I resist an urge to scream and instead drag my girlfriend to turn around and walk the other way. He's there, too. 50 meters away, he looks at us. Just the same. We turn around again. He's there. His face is getting more and more sardonic with that malicious grin. Slowly he comes closer. He does not walk, he just comes closer. Ahead of us and behind us, he is always there when we turn. To our sides, there are wall-to-wall buildings framing us in. He gets closer and closer. I remember the last window-scene and pick up snow to throw at him, but he remains unfazed. My girlfriend has taken a rather passive role and just watches. It appears as if she isn't terrified at all, when I'm going out of my mind with fright and this amazingly uncanny feeling under his terrible smirking.
He comes closer still, there appears to be no way out. The closer he gets, the more often I momentarily feel my real body lying in bed, like a glitch in the dream. Suddenly, when he should have reached us eventually, two cats jump between me and my girlfriend. In my state, I kick them, they run off. I wake up.

After waking up next to my sleeping girlfriend, there was obviously the feeling that you have after a nightmare. The anxiety, the sweating. But there was a noise. A dampened voice. I really didn't want to listen any closer to that, but I couldn't help hearing a man's voice say "Where is she!?" in a rather angry and aggressive tone, over and over again in periodic intervals of about 5 seconds. I did RCs like crazy, but I was awake. I sat up in bed, drinking some water. The voice started to fade, I stopped hearing the angry words, but the noise remained. Loud and clear. Laying back down, the noise started losing volume and becoming softer. And then, about two minutes after waking up, I realized it was my sleeping girlfriend's breathing.
