However, if a player is actually good, and is (almost) as good on a map that doesn't have camping-spots/sniper-rifles, I guess camping is just another tactic... It would still be lame, I guess, because most of the time camping is just a matter of sniping off noobs that can't dodge bullets. Good news is, that in most games pure campers, people that couldn't hit you in the face with a flak cannon if you stood right in front of them, hardly ever do better than Really good people.

Gears of War was fun for a while, but it bores me. Just gets way to repetitive. As for the camping thing, I don't camp (Do you see a fire?) but in a camper with a sniper's defense, Sniping isn't really a very mobile practice. Sniping does take skill, and its meant for staying in one area. Snipers are meant to stay back and shoot from afar. This actually does take skill as its more difficult to hit a target with a sniper than a machine gun. Plus a sniper isn't effective at closer ranges, so if he gets into a close encounter hes screwed, so its his job to stay back and do what he can from afar. Its the same in reality as well as video games. Just that you know, in reality you only can die once :p
