I was at the bottom of a staircase, with several other people, clinging to the handrail, to avoid being carried away by the sudden, powerful storm that suddenly swept in, which turned the staircase into a raging river with several waterfalls. I'm not entirely certain what was going on, because the scene shifted and changed erratically, with the storm as the only constant.

A nonlucid dream, I was in a building in a sunny desert. The desert seemed fake, like it was a vast room meant to resemble a desert, but there was nothing to make it appear that way, except that the ground was very flat. A window inside of the building looked out on a dark city, which wasn't visible from the outside. Once, when I looked at the city, it was falling into the sea, so I checked the news, figuring that they'd report on this disaster, and I could learn what city it was. Turns out it was Dallas, Texas.

In this dream I was lucid, inside an empty building. I decided to leave it by making myself grow taller, and phasing through the roof. I went through many ceilings, but each just led to another floor of the building.

I was driving through a strange desert land, populated by bizarre people with orange reptilian skin. Around when we passed the tornado, I realized I was dreaming. At this point, I decided to complete the lucid tasks of the month. For the basic task, I turned to the guy next to me in the car, and asked him what my new year's resolution should be. When I woke up, I couldn't remember what he said, and I'm still uncertain, but I think it was something like "Buy more things".

Anyway, I got out of the car, and thinking I might have already completed the advanced task, I asked one of the lizard people if we were on another planet. He replied that we were still on earth. So, I looked in the sky, and chose a star.

I haven't had much luck going to specific places chosen before sleeping before, so I figured going to another planet might be tough to do successfully. However, I figured it might not be too tough to bring the planet to me. Using telekinesis, I dragged the star towards the earth until I could see something orbiting it, at which point I grabbed that orbiting object with my mind, and began bringing that in instead. It looked like a star, but I figured that planets look like stars from that distance. As it came closer, I realized that it might have really been a star, and at the point where it filled almost the entire sky, I woke up.

I tried to complete the advanced lucid task of the month again, and failed again. I was in a park, realized I was dreaming, and decided to complete the task by flying to another planet by car. I got in a car, and managed to make it fly, although it was much harder than using telekinesis on other things, because I was moving with the car. I tried several times, but each time I reached a point where I could go no higher, usually because I lost my mental grip on the car, but once because I ran into a large ceiling.

This was just a small section of my dreams last night, but it's the most visually interesting part, which is why I chose it to draw. Robot Bowser was attacking the city, and we had to destroy it. We had a big plain, but we forgot it, so Mario just tried to knock a hole in his leg. He succeeded, but it turned out that Robot Bowser was filled with fire, and Mario caught on fire.

Also, I had a very brief lucid dream, but was woken up by my brother, who wanted to talk about dreams. Now that I'm really awake, I'm certain that it was only a really annoying false awakening.

I recently received a set of brush pens, and decided to ink a lot of my old pencil drawings, since they were looking old and faded. I've updated this thread to have all the newest versions of my drawings, you should check them out.

In this dream, I was biking home, and passed an area where someone had reported seeing a velociraptor. I was skeptical of their report before, but when I passed by, I saw it too. This was cool at first, until the raptor decided it wanted to attack me, and ran after me. I found I could get away from the raptor by making my bike jump high into the air, but the raptor kept catching up to me.

Somehow, I escaped, and arrived home. In the driveway, something else attacked me, but I didn't get a good look at it, and could only tell it was humanoid. I trapped it with plates, and it tried to convince me to free it, but I wouldn't. In my house, I encountered my reflection, which was odd, because there wasn't a mirror there to reflect me. When I accidentally pushed it away, it's face began to melt and change, and I realized it was some kind of horrible doppelganger. At this point, I woke up.

This dream started as a continuation of a dream from earlier this night, where giant spider creatures were attacking, and gravity was going in unusual directions. Gravity was supposed to be pulling me onto the wall, but it still felt like the floor was down, and my attraction to the wall would occasionally fail. The combination of gravity trying to pull things in a new direction, and that it wasn't able to consistently do so the way dream logic said it should, convinced me that I was dreaming. I went outside to find a gopher to complete the lucid task of the month, but I woke up.

Now that I'm active at dreamviews again, I think I'll start posting in this thread again. Since I last updated it, I've got a digital tablet and some good computer software, so I should be less inclined to procrastinate than before.

I didn't spend much time on this drawing, did most of it at three in the morning, and I was still getting used to Painter X, the application I made it in, so I expect future updates will be much better drawn.

In this dream, which I had a couple days ago, I lived in an old house. I lived next door to an unusual person. He was probably in his early teens, but he was a genius, and was mildly famous for some sort of radio program that he ran. As I gradually realized that I was dreaming, so did he.

Somehow, he discovered that the center of the house contained a secret, some important piece of information involving me, and he was determined to find it. This angered me, after all, it was my dream, my house, and the secret was about me, and I was determined to get there before him.

I followed him into the yard of the house. It had become gigantic and strange, and makeshift structures had sprung up in the front yard. He stopped in one of those structures to learn something from it's inhabitant, and headed out towards the swamp on the right side of the house. I followed him, but soon woke up.

In this dream I had last night, some people I remember nothing about and I had found a strange door leading to a vast underground land. We explored it, and learned that it stretched beneath all of the USA.

I don't know what it's native inhabitants were exactly, but they weren't quite human. They weren't very common, but we encountered them occasionally. They weren't violent or dangerous, but with the exception of one shopkeeper who wanted to sell stuff to us, they weren't very hospitable either.

We learned that the strange door we used to enter the underground country was one of many, and they were created by the natives. They used these doors to attract humans as a source of cheap labor, because humans would work in agricultural jobs for much less than they would. Because of this, there were quite a few human immigrants in some areas. In an area I visited near the end of the dream, there was a large human settlement, and it looked almost exactly the same as a surface town. In the end, instead of returning to the surface, I ended up moving into a small house in that human settlement.

The painting portrays the area near the door that we entered. Since I forgot nearly everything about them, I didn't draw the people I was traveling with. I also added a lot more buildings, and made it more cave-like than I actually remember it as, but I didn't remember enough distinct details to paint it without adding anything, and they fit with my general idea of the place. I created it in Painter X, mainly using the sumi-e and watercolor tools.

In this dream, I was traveling west across the country, sometimes outside by car, sometimes through a series of rooms by foot, sometimes outside by foot, and for a little while, pushing the car through a series of rooms.

The most memorable part was walking down a road in the middle of nowhere. The area was filled with strange obelisks and other unusual constructions, and the road went to some old historical building. While there, I became lucid, but didn't do or find anything interesting.

This was from a couple days ago.

I find libraries and bookstores like this occasionally in dreams. I love places like this, but in dreams, I almost never remember to look at any actual books. In this one, I was lucid, and did look at some books, but I couldn't read them. One had pictures of someone walking through a strange city, but they weren't very interesting.

I really should have drawn the people first; you can tell that I was in the "lets just get this thing finished already" stage of the drawing when I drew that part, especially since I didn't even draw the people besides myself that were there.

      The night of the 17th:

I was only lucid for the first part of this dream. In the walls of the canyon in the distance there were fountains, which would run only for a very short time, and even then only when their guardian deemed you worthy. Drinking the water in the fountains would give you visions of the way you would die. By the time I reached them and learned this, I was no longer myself. I drank the water, and it showed me that I'd be killed by lava.

In this dream I became lucid in my home, and completed the tasks of the month of a different lucid dreaming forum. I looked at my hands right away, did a flip off the third floor into the dining room, and ate a hot coal from my fire pit so I could breathe fire.

      Last night:

In this dream I was in a hotel or mansion that had been made into a hospital. I started out non-lucid, as someone who worked there. Everyone was upset because the people in the research division of the hospital had created a contagious version of diabetes, and someone was spreading it to a bunch of people, possibly on purpose. The research division was on the second floor, and as I headed up, I became lucid.

Before I went to sleep, I had decided that an interesting thing to try in my next lucid dream would be to give myself extra eyes, in order to try to expand my field of vision, or see two images at once. Upstairs I was surprised to be reminded of my task by a researcher who had developed a way to do that. I asked him how well it worked, and he said it worked pretty well, but I woke up before I could try it.

I was in some sort of video game, and had been hired by some criminal organization to do something. They were getting increasingly mad at me because instead of doing what they told me to do, I was drawing on their walls. I think in the end they attacked me and I had to start the game over.

One of my favorite authors was showing me strange places, but this was the only one I remember because it was so unusual and vivid. The llama-like creature was some rare species, I was told what it was called but I've forgotten it.

I slept really badly last night, couldn't get to sleep until after 4 am. The worst part is, I'm sure I had a lucid dream, but I can't remember any of it besides going through a sliding glass door. I did remember a lot more dreams than normal.

In this dream, I wasn't myself, I was someone else who's brain had been put into a robot. I was in a house with some people, and another robot, like a roomba with weapons, was attacking us. I couldn't think of any way to stop it, so I ran away.

I was at a store in the mall. It was really dirty, and someone who worked there told me to mop. I wasn't thinking clearly enough to refuse, and later I was annoyed at them for making me mop, but the owner of the store turned out to be a friend's mom, and I was paid an unusually large amount of money for cleaning.

I was in a friend's house, and there was a tiny door near the kitchen, leading to some hostile other dimension. They would send drinks through the door occasionally, but we just threw them away because we knew they were poison.

Next, I was in a different room, and I had my tablet's stylus. I have one of the buttons on it set to ctrl+z, and I found that it could undo things around me. A fly on a ledge would fly away, and when I pressed the button, it would go back. I ought to remember to try that in lucid dreams in the future.

I was in a video game, where if you wanted to survive, you had to get an animal to defend you. Somehow, I got a skeletal bear, but I quickly forgot about it and didn't see it again. Later, I got a dog to help me, but it was very violent, and it was difficult to keep it from attacking people.

I saw a distant landscape, from a fixed perspective. It had the kind of beauty that's rarely present outside of certain dreams, and I realized right away that I was going to have to draw it. I thought that it was HI at the time, but now I'm pretty sure I was fully asleep. At the time I believed I'd finally be able to draw an image from a dream exactly, since I had no trouble remembering it perfectly then, but I was wrong.

A fragment: picking up broken glass on a stairway in my house.

That's not all I remember. I also had two fairly long lucid dreams. I don't think I could represent either one of them very well with a single image, so I'm going to try something different.

I never found out what the conspiracy was about. Someone said that the point of the garage was to improve traffic conditions, but I think that was just their cover story.

I revisited the garage in a non-lucid dream later in order to pick up a car, but didn't hear anything at all about a conspiracy.

Panel 1: I don't think I drew this one clearly enough. It's supposed to show me using the eraser end of the stylus to erase the hinges of a door. I did this because it was locked and I wanted to see what was inside. It turned out to just be a storage room.

Panel 2: I has planned on trying to draw something and then pull it out of the drawing, but I have no idea why I decided to draw some kind of cartoon animal; I had planned on drawing an apple. I did pull it out of the drawing, and outside the drawing it was a stuffed animal.

Panel 3: For some reason it took a lot to convince that teacher that it was a dream, most of the time just telling a DC is enough to convince them.

Panel 4: Giving my wallet to a DC is my standard way of getting them to stop bothering me. It works the same as paying them not to bother me, but it's easier, since counting out money is tough in dreams, and as the student's quote shows, I might not have as much money as I would in real life. After I gave that student my wallet, a bunch of others wanted things, so I ended up pulling lots of different copies of my wallet from my pocket, and throwing them to the students.

Drawing comics was fun to do once, but I don't think I'll do it on a regular basis. When I draw individual images it looks much better, and it takes less time. The general format of the comics was borrowed from Slow Wave, a collective dream diary in comic form that is much better at comics than I am.

      Thursday night:

In this dream, I wasn't in control, or even present, it was like watching a story from the perspective of one of the characters. A teacher was talking about some monster that was supposedly like something created by H.P. Lovecraft, but I can't see where I saw that resemblance. It killed people, and would take some of their hair a day before it did so they knew it was coming. It was targeting the teacher, and one of the students tried to keep it from getting him. The monster didn't even show up until the dream was ending, and it had no visible form, which was really annoying later on, as a monster would have made an interesting drawing.

I forget the rest, but I remember part of a dream where there were two separate internets, a fast one, and a slower one. I was advising a kid to switch to the slower one, because it had better websites.

This dream started with a false awakening, where I thought it was 5 p.m., and I was back in my home state. I was very surprised at suddenly being home, and at waking up so late. Later, my perspective shifted. I was myself, and I realized that the person I was seeing things as before was a drunk guy who they had kidnapped and transported across the country, to a gym. They kidnapped him because he looked a lot like a superhero that lived in the area, called Captain Amazing, or something like that. They were very upset, because the drunk guy wasn't doing a good job of impersonating Captain Amazing at all. A big crowd of people was upset, because they thought Captain Amazing was drunk, but the crowd was extremely stupid, so I had no problem convincing them that nothing was wrong
(Me: "Captain Amazing is amazing, and that guy wasn't being amazing at all, so that must not be him.
      Crowd:Aah.)

I remember a dream where some Indiana Jones-type person had just got back from an adventure, and found some sort of magical human heart. He had it in a box, and gave it to his wife so she could give it to the mailman (who would probably deliver it to that warehouse where they put the Ark), but instead she slipped the box into her purse when he wasn't looking. Then they visited the beach.

      Friday night:

I only remember one dream from last night, but it was extremely long, or perhaps it was several dreams in the same location.

For most of the dream, I was somehow trapped in a Futurama-style future. I remember being extremely confused as to why I was there. I saw someone get something like a CAT scan, only far more advanced. I saw my cats hiding inside a sign. I remember working for a restaurant. I remember there was lots of child labor going on, and children were extremely happy to get even awful jobs. I remember fighting some kid who attacked me with fake lightsabers.

For a brief, separate time, I was lucid, in an environment I thought was the same place, but was more like a modern suburb. People were throwing rocks at each other, and I didn't do anything except walk down the street.

Then I was back in the future dream, and learned I had gotten there with a time machine taken from a strange creature. I don't know what it was, but it was like a golem, or maybe a robot. It was from the distant past, and was trying to alter history to create the best possible future. It's plan had involved altering the life of Moses in such a way as to change human history. I had thought it would do no harm to just take it's machine for a little while, but I messed up somehow, and made a change that reduced future Earth to a radioactive wasteland. I went back in time to get the golem to help, and it's severed head talked to us(for I was with other people now) in the top floor of some sort of ancient temple or palace. It told us many things, but it's voice was hard to understand, and I've forgotten it all. The last thing before I woke up, one of the native people of that time was intruding in the temple/palace/whatever it was, and the golem made me scare him off with a spear.

      Saturday night:

This was a very strange dream. It was the only one I remember, but it was long. In it, I bought and read two books. It wasn't like reading a book in real life, nor was it like a typical attempt at reading a book in a dream. It was more like experiencing the story from the viewpoint of the main character.

The two books were about this kid who had died. For a while, he was a ghost, which was just like being alive except only a couple of people could notice him. Then he ended up in a very strange afterlife. It was supposed to be a paradise, but it wasn't very well run. It was a lot like normal life, only it only took place in a huge building, and no one could die of hunger or thirst (although they'd still feel them), and everyone was even more obsessed with money. Then a bunch of things happened but I don't remember them well enough to describe them in a way that makes much sense.

I'm kind of annoyed, as I really should have become lucid. Not only was I in a bookstore, a dreamsign of mine, but in the afterlife place, Morpheus from the Sandman series was playing cards!

Finally, another dream interesting enough for a large drawing! This drawing is unique in that I planned it out before I actually dreamed it; when deciding what my next goal for a lucid dream was, I took into account what would make the best drawing.

The goal was to give myself at least one extra eye in a lucid dream, and to try and see out of it and alter my vision.

I started out in the middle of a non-lucid dream. There were these annoying little people, dressed up as stereotypical island witch-doctors. They claimed to have some sort of ancient tribal rituals that were better than modern medicine, but it was obviously just some garbage that they made up. We were in the courtyard of a large home. I became lucid, and used telekinesis to send them far away, where they wouldn't bother me.

I then set out to find the exit to the house. I wandered through several dark rooms, occasionally losing my vision. I was a little worried that some nightmare creature would come out of the dark; that kind of thing doesn't bother me as much any more, but it's still more than capable of waking me up. But I found nothing but many dogs, which ran out as I opened the front door.

It was still dark outside, but with effort, I got the light up to a passable level. I took my tablet's stylus out of my pocket, and tried drawing on the back of my hand, but nothing happened. I tested out the undo button, and that still worked, sending cars flying back the ways they came, and the eraser, which when used on my hand was slightly capable of altering it's shape, and the dream soon ended.

After brief periods of wakefulness, and several normal dreams that were mostly uninteresting and forgotten, I became lucid again in the hallway of a school or office building. I took out my stylus and tried drawing a closed eye on the back of my hand, and it worked, though it looked more like sculpting than drawing. As soon as I finished, I put the stylus away, and opened my new eye.

I saw out of it (and only it, not out of my other eyes) for just a moment, then my vision reverted to normal. I tried holding it in front of my left eye; the effect was like being able to see straight through the spot on my hand where the eye was. I tried to move my hand left and extend my field of vision, but had no luck with that. Soon after, I woke up.

Non-lucid dream, a series of school trips. First a bunch of strange ones involving bees, then one to a very small national park(which, now that I think of it , resembled a room in a Metroid game), and one to a convention. Some unusual organization paid for the last two trips, on the condition that we took the first ones.

I was experiencing this flash game based on the works of H. P. Lovecraft, as the characters in the game. I wasn't quite lucid, but I was close enough to keep from panicking. First I was at the beginning part of the game, which was the same, only I had a flashlight. I used it to look around, and saw there were things hiding in the darkness, which judging by the size of their eyes, were very big. When the light touched them, they would move slowly towards me.

Then I was in a later part of the game, recovering a box sealed away by an ancient group. It's contents were different in the dream than in the game. Countless hands grew from the inside of the box, grasping at my arm to prevent me from recovering the box's true treasure. I eventually reached it, which made things much easier. It was a sword.

Then I was in my house, as myself.

There were several of the monsters in my house, but they were weak and slow, and went down easily. Everything was very dark. Then things got confusing, and I'm not sure what else happened before I woke up.

(I decided to modify an image from the internet for this one. The original image is here, and is under a Creative Commons license that allows me to do this.)
Someone had a Tablet PC that wasn't working properly. Instead of getting it's minor flaws fixed, they decided to just give it to me. It had some kind of OS meant for video game systems on it, and I spent a while getting it to run Windows instead.

I was on a cruise ship with some people who were supposed to be my family. A storm broke out, and things began to roam the halls. The first thing that got to us was this whale creature, which for some reason decided that we deserved an explanation. It told us that the nightmares had broken loose, and had come to eat our fear. The whale creature left, and we locked the door so nothing worse could get in.

I gained something close to lucidity, but it didn't work very well, because I still thought the situation was worth escaping, and remembered none of my goals. I opened the window, and jumped out, confident that I could breathe water. As I dove into the ocean, I found that I was not wrong. However, as I began to wake up, I realized I had overlooked one thing. The nightmares were coming from the ocean!

Several groups of three people were working their way through a series of rooms. They were filled with traps and challenges, to prevent unworthy people from getting to whatever was at the end. I remembered none of the earlier challenges. We were approaching another challenge, and it was simple but dangerous.

There was a doorway. As a group of three stepped into it, a voice from nowhere would say "Are you worthy of continuing onwards?", and if you answered any way besides saying, "I am worthy", or something like that, blades would flash down from the ceiling and kill you. The other people in my group were jerks. One of them somehow convinced a couple people in another group that the proper way of answering was to say "Me", and they tried it and died.

My group made it through okay, and reached another room. The rest of my group thought it was the end, and they wouldn't listen to me when I tried to tell them that there's no way that it could be the end, as there was nothing worth all those traps in that room. It looked like a combination of a small church and a cafeteria. They had food there, and although I forget what it was, it was delicious.

We were on a forest path. I wanted to get to the city, but they wouldn't let me get there unless I succeeded at their ridiculous and confusing games.
The leader of the games was a minor official in some ridiculous fascist society, and he decided all the rules. I was getting frustrated at the games, which did not make sense.

Suddenly I became lucid, and I realized I didn't have to play their games. I rushed onwards, against their protests, and found a small movie set, surrounded by more people from the fascist group. As I ran into the center of the set, a woman, a higher ranking leader of the group, began to reprimand me for being disruptive and rude. As she talked, I decided that the city wasn't real after all, it was just a lie the group created. I soon became less certain though, because at the very last moment, I saw this:

I still admire your abilities to capture these dream images. I've been painting my dreams, (only select ones) but they're never quite what I see while still asleep, they're always a bit modified.

The idea of altering Moses' life to change history made me chuckle.

Congratulations on your most recent piece of lucidity..I hope it will inspire me.

Thanks! I never manage to exactly capture my dreams either, as there's always details missing or things that I change to improve the composition, but I'm doing better than I did when I started. The last one was fairly close, and I think I captured approximately how the dream felt and the quality of light. However, in the dream, I did not actually see the city through the hole in the wall, I just knew that it was there.

I walked down the street of the old neighborhood. I knew each person around me was a unique, interesting individual. I carried two books, and I was going to return them to the library.

I reached the land where the library should be, but the lot was fenced off. The people I saw earlier were there, talking amongst themselves. I phased through the fence, suddenly realizing I was dreaming. Everything began to fade to black, and I began to wake up.

There was a list, filling my entire field of vision. Everyone in the dream city was on it, and those who were lucid had check marks by their names. Many, many names were checked, but not those of us by the library. Slowly, a single check mark appeared by the names of our small group, and all of a sudden, the vision ended, and I was back on my way to the library.

One girl from the group had entered the lot before me, and we were both on our way to the library. We quickly reached the end of the lot, only to find this:

She told me that the library was at the top of the trees. I asked her if she was sure, and she was. She began climbing and was quickly out of sight. I gripped my books between my teeth, and began climbing up the closest tree.

I reached the top with ease, though it was quite high. There was no library, only branches waving in the breeze.

I dreamed several long meandering stories, connected together by a single main character, who was almost me, but not quite. As him, I had a different history, and a very slightly different personality. I was nearly lucid for much of the time.

      There was a party.

Years later, I ran into a girl I met at the party, while in a park. We talked for awhile, then I followed her to a ranch, walking on all fours. There were several bulls there in a pen, and she told me to attack them. I ran in and knocked each of them over. The man who owned them captured us, enraged at me for killing them. He threw a kick, and I knew he was a martial artist. Because I knew this, the room we were in was suddenly a dojo. The plot fell apart.

I am still the same person, not quite myself. I am in some kind of booth in the parking lot of my old high school. I am talking to a different girl. We are later in someone's living room, with several other people. This is also some kind of party, but it's much smaller and less active than the other one, more of a meeting of friends. The two of us leave down an unusual walkway.

We push past the people on the bridge, ignoring their commands. They are from the government, and they become suspicious of us. One ambushes us at the corner, pulling a gun and accusing us of having drugs. The girl quickly pulls out a gun hidden in her jacket, and points it back at him. I swiftly disarm them both.
