      1 Year long dream

It should be possible to make a pill to make your dream seem like a year.

      Just giving some ideas.

The trick is to lie to yourself that the dream you're in has been going on for days. I conducted an experiment on the subject and found out a way to make your dreams seem as if they've lasted pretty long. While in the dream, say to yourself with intention "wow, this dream has lasted for days". The thing is, in your dreams, anything you say is applied. This is a mind trick that will work for anyone who is willing to use the power of intention. Just lie and pretend to believe it. Best of luck

Sure, that will work, but it will only make you dream that it has been a long time. You won't actually experience a long time moment by moment just because you tell yourself to.

I've had dreams that took place over the course of months, but I only actually experienced a few minutes of real time with large jumps in between.

I've yet to hear any credible report of actually experiencing extended periods of continuous real time in a dream.

The ability to happily respond to any adversity is the divine.

I think LaBerge did an experiment where a person got lucid and estimated the amount of time of the dream. Comparing it to the REM time it was pretty simular. I dont think that REM sleep can actually be like a year long. But is is quite common to have more than one dream per night and when upon waking try and find connections among them and that would make them seem longer.

I've posted this little monolouge in a couple threads. If you've read it just skip it.

The longest dream seemed like it was about 2 months. Since I don't think that I have a real internal clock, it works to be asleep for an hour and have it seem like day. (Or to be asleep for ten hours and have it seem like two months.) But I don't know how... Each day I got up and did a whole routine for that day. I was a different person. I knew different people, had a different job, place of origin, friends, family... Everything was incredibly detailed about my new memory and surroundings and my new city. Everything was consistent and logical with scientific laws. People had realistic personalities and character flaws, including "me." I 'became' that person. It wasn't lucid though. I had no idea who Aaron W. was. When I woke up it was so surreal. I felt like I wasn't myself, like I wasn't real. And then I had to just leave my alter ego behind and force myself to get up and to remember what my actual routine was. It was hard to get back into my life for a little bit.
Also posted something like this to my hypothesis why.

My only guess is that each second my un-conciouss brain comprehended a crap load more than my conciouss brain could and my sub-conciouss brain percieved it as a longer time than had elapsed in the waking world. But the difference of time elapsed is merely semantics as it felt like a long time.

That's all inference, though. If it is correct, though, then I doubt a five minute dream could be extended to a week effectivley while lucid. Think about it, that was my sub-conciouss brain percieving the info like that.

If your lucid, then your conciouss is thrown into the mix and it would probably percieve time with more clarity/basis in reality.

But this is all based on my supposition. I claim none of it to be reality, just a possibility.
If I'm right, then I still didn't experience 2 months, but just got two months worth of data and percieved it as 2 months.
