YAY!! i think i went lucid for the FIRST TIME EVAH!!!

this is the first time i think i went lucid so bear with me on this long post i think it was a WILD but im not sure...... but i had 3 dreams before i realized i was dreaming... well when i first woke up this morning i couldn't remember my dream.. but i had to get up real early to do something for a friend.. so after i finished that i went back home and decided to go back to sleep again... so i did.. i fell asleep and i remember first standing in line at the movie theater with a ticket of some sort... but it wasn't for a movie.. it was for food.. like ice cream and stuff... a friend of mine was there and she had her face covered in chocolate.. but in real life she hates chocolate so i don't know that that was about... anyways, i remember the lady behind the counter say saying something about her job and how hard it was and i said.. "well now im glad my resume got rejected" and they laughed... so i got up to the counter and was checking the ice cream..... i wanted soft vanilla yogurt but they had vanilla wood shavings.... i thought it was weird but it wasn't enough to make me realize it was a dream... then that ended... i don't know if light caught my eye or something but almost woke me up... so i just stayed still and then i was caught in another dream this one was more clear and vivid then the last one,

i dont remember the whole details but at first my family and friends were outside int he driveway under one of those tents that arent sleeping tents.. there more for just sitting outside and enjoying the view type of stuff... but my great grandmother was outside of the tent in her chair and started to walk p and scream about something... i was paying attention to the constant light flashes cus there was a freak thunderstorm outside.... im just gonna skip some of the meaningless parts and start next up in my laundry room.. it didnt strike me as weird though cus practically all of my family and their friends were in their sitting in lawn chairs talking to each other... well they were talking and i was getting bored so i decided to crawl under the cubby hole... ( its just a small space right under our stairs... we use it as a space to keep our garbage can out of the way. but i noticed their was a chalk board there for some reason and i thought that was kinda cool.. i saw a bunch of old erasers and a little electric fan i played with, i could feel the wind hit my face from the fan....and yadda yadda yadda, i then went upstairs with 2 of my best friends.. they usually come to visit so it seemed real enough to me..anyways, we went upstairs i sat on the computer and my friend went WOAH... when did you get that?... hes talking about a sword i bought at the fair that was hanging up on the wall...... but it was broken, the plaque was off the wall, the sword itself seemed to be suspended in mid air sideways on the wall so it looked kinda like it was jsut stuck there.. but the handle was off the blade next to it..... i knew something was wrong and i opened my eyes.. i woke up and everything was normal... "whew... it was just a dream" but it looked so real-ish.... that was my second dream..

again.. sorry this story is so long.. this was the first time i realized i was dreaming so im a little excited

now THIS is the one i think i went lucid.... anyways... after i saw that my sword was ok i closed my eyes but tried not to move an inch so i could go back to sleep.. i guess this time that sword was a point of entry into my previous dream..... so i fell back asleep and wound up back in the laundry room with my family and friends but i somehow knew this "might have been a dream"... but at the same time i was still not aware that it actually was a dream.. i don't know why.... anyways as i walked back up the stairs i said to myself.. "if my sword is broke or anything then this must be a dream"... and what do i find?.. my sword hanging crooked on the wall.... now i could see things even clearer and i could feel things..... im still a little confused about it but it was wonderful!! after i realized i was in a dream i walked to the bathroom.. so i could look in the mirror, sliding my hand along the wall on the way... i felt the wall on my finger tips it was so awesome!... the light in the bathroom was already on and when i looked in the mirror.. my face was disfigured.. then i REALLY knew it was a dream! remembering what i read in the Dreamviews tutorial i closed my eyes as hard as i could and tried to open them.. i managed to open them a crack and saw my face was normal... but i couldn't open them any further so i tried harder and just wound up opening my real eyes instead.... a disappointing end to the dream but atleast i knew i was dreaming..

so.. does that sound like a WILD.. or something else?
w/e.. i knew i was dreaming so YAY!

      WOW that was long! hehe

SuperChoji, this sounds like a DILD to me because you realized you were dreaming while in the dream.
No matter what the classification/term.. congratulations on your first lucid dream!

      May you have many more!

SuperChoji, I would recommend that you get used to what being lucid FEELS like by first grounding yourself in your dreams.

I know when I first become lucid, I have to fight that initial rush of adrenalin. I do this by telling myself to calm down, breathing naturally (or a little slower) and I try to "ground" myself in the dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it can be) instead of immediately racing to do something before I lose lucidity.

One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also increases the vividness of the dream along with helping me remain in it longer).

You may also try to increase your vividness/control by confidently stating aloud "increase lucidity" or "clarity now".

Also, there is no "try" when you're lucid.. only "do". You must KNOW that there is nothing you can't have nor perform while in your dream.

Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be".

I'm glad and I wish you lucidity, but if it doesn't happen tonight or tomorrow night.. don't become discouraged. You will become lucid again.. just let it come and don't stress over it.
