Hello all,

Recently I was reading posts on an astral travel site and I read about a visualizing technique to help in astral projecting. I've had a hard time astral projecting from a waking state so I use the technique during the lucid state and it works very well to link lucid dreams together.

Here's how it works from the waking state: You relax and meditate as deep as you can using whatever breathing technique that works for you. Next with your eyes closed you look into where your third eye is which is between your eyes at the top of your nose or actually just a little above this. Don't strain your eyes though. If anything mentally look there even though I can feel my eyes looking into it. next envision looking through this third eye and seeing swirling smoky colors with a hole in the middle of it like a portal. Once you get good visuals of this normally you will feel the astral vibrations start. Now envision a rope dangling to you through the portal and mentally grab a hold of it. I normally envision myself reaching out and grabbing it with my hands. Next envision that the rope is being pulled with you still holding on and your energy body will pull right on out with it. From here who nows where you'll end up!

Well I have trouble doing this from a waking state but I've learned to use this technique in the lucid state.

This is how I do it to string along several lucid dreams : Once in a lucid dream I go about it as I normally do but as of lately I've been focusing on verbalizing and talking to dream characters instead of exploring and flying like I would normally do. When I see the dream scape fading and feel the dream ending, I start chanting "remain conscious" over and over again so I don't lose consciousness during the transition from the dream to what I call "the void" which is the state during dreams or right before you wake up. You can chant whatever you want as long as it is something that is keeping your attention so you don't lose consciousness. At the end of the dream is when most people lose consciousness or lucidness during this transition. Now this is when the technique takes place. Once you've made it to "the void". Do the technique I described above excluding the breathing part of it. You are already in a deep trance state in this void and it is very easy to envision the swirling colors which creates the portal and this is when I will feel the astral vibrations (I don't use the rope anymore to help me out but now I just use intention to puch myself through this "portal".

As an example I managed to string together three lucid dreams this morning creating one after another using this technique (recently I managed to string together 5 Ld's lasting almost 2 hours). I became lucid in my first dream and went about it doing whatever and when I felt the dreamscape fading I did everything that I just mentioned. When I was pulled out of my body from the void I instantly found myself flying really fast just a few feet above the ground and I went along with the lucid dream which lasted a long time. Then this dream started to fade and I repeated the process. This time I managed to pull myself slower out of my body so that I was in the same room as I was sleeping and stop myself so I didn't just fly right out of the room. I almost hit the roof (or go through it) and I straightened out my body and fall landing on the floor beside my bed. I look on my bed and see my body still sleeping. I leave the room and explore for a long time.

I must have been lucid for over an hour without losing consciousness which is a record for me(when this happened which was about 2 months ago, since I've been able to ramain fully conscious for almost 2 hours!)

Anyways I've been working for awhile on how to string lucid dreams together better and this technique has been doing wonders. I highly suggest using it if you've been trying to figure out how to string your lucid dreams together. I used to make it to the void and just try to wait it out until visuals came back but I would often lose consciousness before it would happen. Also chanting the whole time while you're in "the void" helps a lot. Oh yea, plus use this technique with the wake back to sleep technique. I've found if I sleep for 6-8 hours and then wake up and record dreams and then fall back to sleep using the M.I.L.D. technique, that it works much better with longer lucid dreams. If you can sleep 10 or 11 hours this is the best way to string along really long lucid dreams and your conscious level is very high during hours 6-11 as opposed to hours 1-6.

I hope this technique helps you all to stay lucid for long periods of time!
