My mind kicked me out of my own dream????

So I finally go lucid in a dream by pinching my nose and realizing I can still breath. I surprisingly didn't get too exited because I hear that can pretty much be a kill switch to dreams so I just stopped what I was doing and looked around. The second I realized I was in my own dream everything changed. The mood got very dark and the sky started glowing dark purple and red. Everyone around me disappeared and I started hearing voices but I couldn't make out anything they were saying or even if it was english. the next thing I know I awake in my bed and I have no memory of anything that happened earlier in the dream. Can anyone tell me what happened????????

Nothing weird, I can barely ever remember what happens before i'm lucid, and all the weird things happening probably just shocked you awake.

Hm well congrats on realizing, it's unfortunate you were awoken by this change. Just a tip when you become lucid try stabilizing the dream first (by rubbing your hands together, spinning (with eyes open), or shouting a command), or you can try teleporting. I really actually got knocked out by a dream once, my dream summoned a train on the top of the garage I was in, and the sheer movement of the train shook my dream vision and balance until I woke up... and I was about to make a fireball for the first time :'( well maybe you'll have better luck next time.
