      Staying grounded

I've noticed, especially last night I'll have issues with staying on the ground/walking normally during some 'lucid' dreams. I'm actually forced to fly, hop, skip, etc.

Anyone know why this happens or what it means? I'm more interested in that.
If anyone else has also had this issue, what did they do to settle it down?

I'm guessing just some mental premonitions and calming myself down will do the trick...

I don't why it happens, but I can offer some solutions.

Obviously better grounding and stabilization will help. Try to concentrate more on your feet on the ground, how it feels. Also imagine gravity.
Try to start off walking by sliding your feet across the ground next time, then try steps.

If this doesn't work, then you really need to work on believing you can walk normally in the dream world.

^ cool, early on I used to step or glide more than normally walk, or I'd end up walking but my inertia would be too fast. I have had some dreams where I walk and am in control at the right pace too.

What I'm currently working on is a calm normal walking pace, vividness of dream, and lucid length. I will try "imagining gravity," slow slides, and focusing on small controlled steps. All sound like good ideas.
