Thoughts in relation to dream control

hey folks! The other night i managed to acheive my first major dream goal , which was to find a dream door and open it and find someone on the other side!! Yahoo.
I made a video about that lovely expereince here
Lucid Dreaming Expereinces - Dream Doors. - YouTube
its a terrible video, but anyway,
the night before, i had also been lucid (dont know how i managed three in a row), and i had remembered, hey you have a dream goal! but i could not remember what it was!!
So i had tried very hard to remember it, and in doing so, i felt more of my waking brain or more of my identity coming through, and somehow that woke me up.
Maybe it is because i thought it would though?

Anyhow, the next night , i found my self lucid again and managed to carry out my goal, and it seemed to me , that i had to acess the information about what i wanted to do through some kind of .......... channelling, or tunnel, that isnt normally there in a dream. I felt i had to tread very carefully.
Does any folks know anything about that? Im very quick to drop my assumptions and enjoy doing it so any suggestions or disclaimers are more than welcome
On a very postive note! my first magic trick the door suceeded!!

      Well, hope your all well
      sam

I know what you mean. Sometimes it feels like experience and thoughts from past lucid dreams carry over into your other lucids. I'm not sure if there is any truth to that but it's just something I have observed. Also, when trying to remember dream goals. Think about your dream goal throughout the day, like when you reality check. Then when you do become lucid it's easier to recall your goal.
