help = ( my unwanted awakenings

Hey lucid dreamers I just signed up today. Im really sorry if this type of thing has been said in another post it probably has many times in fact. I'm very new to this and i have a few noob questions..
last night i slept normally until about 5am (i get up at 7 usually) I went to the kitchen for a drink and then went back to sleep after about 15 minutes. Then i had my first ever lucid dream. Followed by another 4 in a row! But the problem is as soon as i realised that i was dreaming, my 'vision' seemed to cloud/ haze over and i awoke very dissapointed
What is happening? Is it meant to be difficult for the first few times? I didn't try to control it or anything except for the act of staying calm and saying :"Clarity Now!" this happened 5 times! Do lucid dreams get easier the more you have? I'd really like one when i get to do something. Also i was sleeping very lightly, i could feel my real body really breathing and i could hear real sounds from the external world. Was this lucidity problem due to how light i was sleeping?

thanks guys Sorry if this has been said over and over in other posts!

You said it was your first ever lucid dream! It is quite natural that you dont have much control or wake up very soon.
If you will have this problem in the future, try focusing on extending one dream. That is: if you find yourself in bed, focus on the last image of a faded dream and it will continue from then on.

I use this method to reenter dreams and keep the most interesting ones from fading even if I have to get up and pee or something

hehe I tried the WBTB method - It works everytime! Last time I my lucidity lasted for about 5 seconds but this time when i rubbed my hands together (to maintain lucidity) I lasted for about 15 seconds. I think I'm getting better!

I have had that problem before and it normally happens around 5 in the morning. I think it might have something to do with what rem cycle we are in at the time of becoming lucid. I m not sure its just a guess.
