      !!!.::Close your eyes::.!!!

      Closing the dream-eyes works, and it works good! I've been practising this for about 10 years...

      It's a wonderful method for:

      1. Stop thinking;
      2. Focusing the dream-attention;
      3. Changing dreams;
      4. LD in mirror positions.

      I promise you a LD adventure, fantastic clear and colorful dream environment, strong dream-attention and ..maybe an extas...

      The noise in the ears and the feeling of fear is natural effect of short duration! Have to overcome it...

      but then there's always the possibility of losing lucidity once you transition over to the next dream...and then there's the blackless void....

      i suppose its different for everyone. just do what works for you i guess

      I agree. It might be personal ... and I may be wrong to promise anything ... in spite of believing it's all to force and dream-attention...

      I might be wrong in all of that...... but I have to post it anyway... This is the strongest dreamtime action I discovered for years of practiceing.. and it's natural to post it.. :]

      Sweet dreams I wifh you! And keep your eyes wide open if you prefer ... :]

      I once closed my dream eyes and when I tried to open them I opened my real eyes, so I'm not doing it again.

      This means only that you haven't got enough control on your dream body...

      Motions always awake.. Trying to move is a command to your physical body. And it awakes you - naturally.

      Have to learn to move by intent .. and to close and open your dream-eyes ... actually you don't have to ... but there's no other way to tell you what I mean...

      Last night I had an LD, and I remembered this thread right after becoming lucid. I was starting to wake up and the image was fading, so I closed my eyes and shouted something about regaining control. I opened my eyes, and voila! It worked!
      From then on in the dream, every time I wanted to change something, stop myself from waking up, or keep from losing lucidity, I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, things were more realistic and whatever I wanted to happen happened. I changed my body into a dog body by doing it, made doors appear, transported myself, and other stuff like that. It was great.

      Stopping to think is one of the best advices you can give. You can never completely shut down your brain so that makes it very tricky to stay conscious while falling asleep... And i think that in most cases the "losing lucidity" and the "start waking up" bits are actually an illusion your brain makes for itself. There have been numerous times where i was confident i had just waken up only to find out that it was a dream 10 minutes later when i really wake up.

      I bet if you focus on your other senses as well, you can close your dream eyes without too much problems (focus your hearing, smelling, and touch (wind on arms, etc,)).

      Also, I bet that to be safe, you can just close your dream eyes, and isntead of reopening them to a new scene, treat your closed eyes as a black canvas and create the scene there... I mean, when you WILD, you don't necessarily start with closed eyes that you need to open, and your dream eyelids are fake like the rest of it all hehe.

      Don't you know nothing about double and mirror LD? Dreaming by dreambody? "Opening" of eyes is just a word - we're talking of one and the same experience... using different words, I'm sure. :]

      Yes, I agree with Kramari, that closing Dream Eyes wakes you up just as surely as Closing Waking Eyes puts you to sleep.

      I certainly wouldn't try it again, not after wasting one Lucid Dream. But it would be nice if more people will try it, just so we can know for sure.... to get a good idea of the percentages.
