Problem with giong third person in Lucid Dreams

Ive found its common for me to sort of zoom out of my body in lucid dreams and view it as if it were a game but whenever i zoom out, who im viewing is never really me and i basically lose all control i had and just become a remote viewer. This also leads to waking up immediately after. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and/or if anyone can give me advice on how to prevent/fix this when it happens again

I had this problem for awhile as well. I don't know if this is your problem, but when I first started and would do any type of control, I would imagine it, and all mg imagining takes place third person. I learned that I had to not picture what was going on, just do it. That is hard to describe. So, for example, if I wanted to teleport, I would see myself step through a wall or something to teleport, and my dream would destabilize and crash. I needed to keep control of my body the whole time. Just EXPECT that I would teleport.
Sorry, I find this terribly difficult to describe, and in not sure if that's your situation

I've had this problem a long time ago. I think I finally solved it back in the late 80's when I used to video tape friends weddings as a hobby. I hope this next part makes sense

When I used to use the old larger style video cameras you used to have it on your shoulder and one eye looking though the eye piece to see what the camera was looking at. It the beginning I used to close my other eye because it was confusing seeing 2 perspectives at once.

Now this is where I hope you can understand: I found over time if I opened the other eye too, I could train my brain to switch between one eye and the other eye instantly. You were still seeing with both eyes/perspectives but you you ignoring most of what the other eye saw. Kind of like focusing in on one conversation at a loud party and ignoring the other background noise/conversations.

I found out I could do the same thing in the dream. I could be in my body looking out and but also see the scene from outside my body at the same time. I was seeing both at the same time but would focus on one perspective at a time. This gave me control of my body and at the same time I could see it everything from a distance as well.

I hope it makes sense it is hard concept to explain.
