      Pain in Lucidity? :/

When you people are lucid in your dreams, are you afraid of getting hurt? Cause I feel the pain my my dreams...like...I ran away when I was lucid, as someone threw a grenade at me. Lol. It's sorta scary...can't you ignore the pain? >_>

In normal dreams, I feel pain when I should. Sometimes, its very dull and hardly noticeable, but it can be very intense. I've never experienced pain in lucid dreams, but I expect it would be no different; possibly even stronger, because everything in lucid dreams can feel so real. However, since we have complete control over lucid dreams, it should be possible to concentrate and not feel pain at all - much like detaching yourself from pain while awake.

It really all depends on you, because I sometimes feel pain because I logically know it hurts or whatever, or sometimes I get scared of for example a rock about to hit me, because I THINK IT WILL HURT ME, so it really depends on if you think youre invulnerable or not.Hope to have helped you .

Here's an interesting story about pain in lucid dreams

its just pain, its not going to physchial hurt u or kill you so you got nothing to worry about and besides once u get controll of a lucid dream u probaly wont feel pain anymore but really i think u have more of a chane of feeling intense pain during a non lucid dream than a lucid one but thats justme

Pain is really not the problem in LDs, as it can easily be ignored. The best technique that works for me is: I shift my attention away from even the most excruciating pain for a mere second and it's gone. Believing that lucid dream pain is not a real pain and thus does not indicate a bodily injury also helps.

When I'm lucid and someone tries to hurt me I either, Use a power to defend myself, e.g Shielding or make my skin like Iron. I ignore the pain and affirm to myself it isn't real but still get the wound or mark and then heal it. Or I hurt them first.

I think I can imagine very well a situation with pain, I always imagine somebody mugging me and i feel the thiefs knife in my chest if i imagine it, and the pain. But just not so intensely. Sometimes i get scared about how would it be.

Pain in dreams doesn't hurt like in real life, because it isn't real. It feels exactly like normal life for me, but my mind seems to know that it's not REAL pain, and I don't fear it. It's kinda like the difference of watching a horror film, and actually being in the horror film.
      DOH!
