Hi Tom, and welcome! |

I have been trying to have a lucid dream for a while now but it keeps failing. I just found this forum and thought someone could help. |

I have good recall I remember my dreams every night. I use the reality check method to become lucid. |
|
Reality checks have never worked very well for me, except to confirm that I'm dreaming when I already am at least partially lucid. To achieve lucidity in the first place, I highly recommend that you give a try to the MILD and WBTB methods. They seem to work for the widest variety of people, and are the only ones with which I've had much success. |

What are those methods? |

thanks I will try these tonight and hopefully they will work. |

Great! Just don't get discouraged if they don't work right away. I think I had to practice those techniques for about 2 weeks before I had any results. Everyone is different -- just keep at it. And most importantly, be confident! If you doubt that you will become lucid, then you probably won't. Tell yourself that it will happen (and really believe it), and you'll increase your chances many times over. |

Do you have any cool ideas to try in a ld? |
|
Flying is always cool. Other things I've done include shooting energy beams from my hands, and doing the Spider-Man thing. |
