      Dream induction

I am new to LDing, I have read EWLD and have picked up alot of helpfull info here.
I have a two part question: If our dreams are constucts of schema in which are our perceptions of reality , then why dont I ever dream about what I am most passionate about ? It seems to me to be random generations of these schema.
How is it I cant have any control over what I dream about. In fact most of my dreams lack any substance at all.
Secondly, I have been working on LDing for about 2 months, I am older so I realize the two sides of my brain dont comunicate as they did when I was young, however I had a brief LD after only two weeks, it evolved out of a regular dream after someone started to throw punches at me. I havent had anything since and its confusing. The only thing I can think of is it is connected to the activity of being in a fight.(I used to be a fighter)
So, if Ihave you confused now, what I am asking is why I dont have any dream control.
And any input as to why I had an early LD and nothing since. Thanks.

There are different reasons why you dont have dream control. One of the most important thing for dream control is simply the mindset that you can do what ever you want. Thus,
by believing you can do something and practicing, it can help your dream control. Also, if you are not having any new LDs, try perfecting your dream recall. By having a high success rate for dream recall, it can improve your awareness of being in a dream. Hope that helps.

excersize your imagination. Sing, dance, doodle, make music. Whatever creative outputs you feel comfortable with, go nuts with. This helps my dreams in general. As for inducing lucid dreams, just have some faith. You've already done it once, so it's only a matter of time before you have another. Take confidence in your ability to lucid dream, and don't sweat it. It'll happen eventually.

I started last spring. My first lucid dream took about three months, and the next took another month. the third took yet another month. Now, suddenly, I can lucid dream whenever I have enough time to sleep. Patience and hard work will get you lucid dreaming, it's only a matter of time.
