      Ticklish left side

Hi, I have a problem where if I focus on something like a sound on my left ear or a point like the area around my hip I get very very ticklish and have to move. When I become lucid sometimes I feel myself back in bed, and I try to stay in the dream by rubbing my hands together and looking at them and repeating "I'm dreaming" but then I feel my real body back in bed and it gets ticklish and I wake up, please anyone know what I can do? And I think my left side gets ticklish because during delta doesn't your body like vibrate or something like that? I've woken up like this before feeling a vibration going up and down my body.....someone please help

i know how it feels to be ignored... but anyways... so do you get ticklish during lucid dreams? if not it could just be sleep paralysis or whatever.

I wonder if it's a muscle spasm or something? Or it could be SP, as FluBB was saying.

I think the reason people didn't respond is because they couldn't think of something to say. Does this happen a lot when you're awake? It sounds like it might. I'm not sure if this would be a problem dealing with association where in your mind you think left = ticklish, or if this is a physical problem. Does this happen when you're not lucid?

(and I'm not always lurking in this forum so if I don't respond you can PM me to remind me)

Hi guys thanks for responding. Yes this does happen when I'm awake, but only if I think about it. Like say for instance when listening to music with headphones on, and say I focus on some vocals or noises I'm hearing on the left, I get a ticklish sensation at my side and I'll have to move. Not thinking about something like this is really hard to do. I try to ignore it but that doesn't work. And when I become lucid for some reason I get ticklish there.......it's been like this for a while. For like the past 7-9 lucid dreams which have been really short cause of this problem. I've had about 26 lucid dreams so far since I've discovered this site in september.

I agree. If this is happening while you're awake and has been going on for a while, which it apparently has, you should have it checked out. I don't know if it's physical or psychological, though, but I'd just see a regular doctor and go from there. I wish I could help more.
