I guess when I walk through a door in a lucid dream, I always have some expectation of what will be on the other side. It would be interesting to experiment with just randomly going through doors and seeing what's there, though. I'll have to remember to try that sometime.

Oh, and welcome to the forum, by the way!

Hey there, and welcome to the forum!!
Yeah, I have walked (or flew) threw doors before. It is easy, as the door is not an obsticle....but usually, I don't recreate what is on the other side....it just appears. My only desire is that there is that open book I left open on the counter on the other side of that door, as reading in an LD is very fun...
Of course, in an ordinary LD, I usually imagine it, and there usually isn't anything surprising on the other side!! I just restore my LD back together after that, and just continue it as usual.

I had a dream a couple of months ago (non-lucid) where I was walking through walls. It was pretty cool, actually, and I'm hoping to do it again. The main thing is just to realize that the wall is not there, there is no wall Really, you can't think about how to go through something. You just have to do it.

It'd be interesting going through a wall or door where I hadn't seen what is outside... I imagine it would be much like walking through a mirror.

Most, of the time when i walk through walls, i dont recreate the other side as nesgirl said. i just go past it knowing that its not gonna stop me. So just dive through and you'll be on the otherside.

Well, I always wondered what do people do after walking through doors. Do they start flying, a certain activity, or do they perform a Reality Check?
My favorite thing to do after doing that is first performing a RC by looking at the clocks in the other room (which doesn't do any good, since the clocks are like 100% accurate!!), and maybe after doing that, I might read an open book, or go do some dream sight-seeing in a faraway area on this planet, or in XP5 (peculiar area I know so little about!!)!!

Usually if i walk/dive through a door or wall, im chasing after something. Thus, i dont bother doing anything specific. Depending on the circumstance, i just let my dreams continue.

Right. Anyways, what kind of doors do you usually see?

Same doors I normally see in real time, actually. I never fall for that one, though. Doors in these are not a very effective RC!!
