Firstly, good job on even becoming lucid to begin with! And while everyone is different, some people find that as soon as you become lucid, try a stabilization technique (like looking at your hands or something similar). |

Every time that I have a lucid dream, I first realize I am dreaming, then when I try to do something, every thing goes dark, and I wake up. How can I make myself stay asleep and do things in my dreams? Please help! |

That always happens to me, too. But what you can do is learn to anticipate it. Next time you become lucid, relax, and become aware of how you're feeling in the LD. When you feel everything going black, keep reminding yourself that you're dreaming constantly and be patient until things stabilize. You can also try visualizing an image until it shows up. |
