      My lucid problem.

So I've been keeping a dream journal and doing RC's for some time now, and have had my share of lucid dreams, both short and long. My recent problem is not with attaining lucidity, but holding onto it for longer periods of time. Often I find myself dreaming, sometimes it just *clicks* or i notice myself flying, which is a key sign, for obvious reasons and that i seem to fly alot in dreams. Anyways, when i realize that I'm dreaming, i tend to walk around and think to myself i need to find something cool to do, as I'm usually in a room by myself, or somewhere where lucidity has little to no benefits (read: not much around for me amuse myself with)
Does anyone have any pointers, besides holding onto my ears or spinning around or soemthing ?

      Thanks

Tranquility is key. Come to terms with your surroundings (nomatter how boring they are) and keep yourself entirely calm.

You're concious, but don't get too excited about it. Then get the analytical part of your brain working. Do some simple addition, subtraction, or play the name game. Think of your mother, father, sister, friends, etc. Just a couple. Don't spend to much time on this. As soon as you are fully awake, and calm, don't go looking for things to do. Create something to do.

Out of nothing you can command a door to grow behind you, turn around, and face the door. Then, name that door the door to wherever it is you want to go.

      I hope that helped.

I was going to say something similar. Since you don't have a problem with maintaining the lucidity, just try walking out of your room, or the house, and find yourself in a completely different dreamscape.

Sounds like you've already heard of the spinning technique - have you tried this before? What kind of results did you have?

Remember, if you're lucid, then you know that it YOUR DREAM. And just because you're in your room and it's boring doesn't mean it has to be. Jump out the window and fly away somewhere else if you have to. Just try different things.

The first time I started researching lucid dreaming I was already a successful lucid dreamer. I read about spinning, tried it, and had absolutely horrible results.

I don't know. I really just think that it works the opposite for me. It might be a personal bias, so give it a good shot if you haven't already.
