      Matrix stuff?

In the end of my first real LD, I found myself in a very old computer room. I was kinda moved there. I never was there before.
I sat in front of old, monochromic display (I think it was green and black colors). I was still lucid, but my memory starts to fade. I see a line of text on the screen. It says "You have 17 seconds left".
It made absolutely no sense to me. So I thought something like "WTF?", and continued with my LD. Sure enough, I woke within next 15-17 seconds....

I didnt pay much attention about it after I woke up, but now it actually puzzles and disturbs me... How could somebody/something knew what will happen in the future? I mean it's direct prediction of what happened...
Or our mind knows in advance, how long our LD's will last...

      Any ideas?

      interesting

That sounds interesting, but how do you know if it was 17 seconds in real time? Your brain could have already started waking up and your seventeen seconds could have been a fraction of a milisecond. kinda like when your alar mclock goes off in your dream something like a car alarm or something goes off. I predict that when your alarm clock goes of, in that milisecond ,your brain writes out an elaborate story of some type of alarm that goes off. To you, it seems like a long dream was syncronized with your alarm, but i bet its all happening at the same time. I bet NO ONE is going to understand what i just wrote lol.

      hmmm

i didnt mean an alarm woke you up, just saying that you were waking up naturally. either that or the mind might predict things like that, which leads to the question are the psychics?

maybe it said you have 17 seconds left, and then just because you were thinking about it, you woke up 17 seconds later

No, I completely ignored the message, and thought like "why this stupid old computer disturbs my LD? "
I remembered it only after, when I was writing the dream down in my dream journal...

Well my opinion on it is that I really believe you had a Precognative dream. Its not all impossible you know. You're dream somehow skipped over the space time continum and place you right there for a brief moment. Some people have those type of dreams in waves and some have one only one time in life.

just because you ignored it, it doesn't mean it can't have effected your dream. I listen to the radio before I go to sleep and regularly have dreams about something totally inoquous (sp?) that I wasn't paying attention to that was said on the radio. You said yourself when you read the message you reacted to it "WTF?". Even if your conscious mind chose to ignore it, there's a good chance your subconscious reacted to it and woke you up.

Either that or your internal body clock knows the cycles of your REM sleep well and predicted when you were going to wake up. Or your bodies got used to recognising the signs of when you're about to woke up and put the notice in as a warning to you. It could be one of many things, IMO I doubt it was a precognative dream though.

I have precognative dreams often. This is why I choose not to be lucid when I am aware that I am in a dream because when I am in control I miss out on this gift.

you might come to a place in your lucid dreaming experience where you realize that those voices might be real. at some point you realize that the lucid dream is not just a dream anymore but has the possibility to become real. take it with a grain of salt. but next time you hear the lucid dream, try talking back to it and see what it says. curious to see what happens...

Yeah I find that interesting. A precognative LD. I've always wondered if you can alter the natural pattern by being Lucid in a precognative dream. Its always played on my mind. I think you should give it a try maybe once. And who knows the gift may be in the Lucidity. So perhaps you're missing out on it by not going Lucid.. Try it out sometimes. I wish I had that gift. Your so Lucky Bliss...

Well, you may try to test if you can see future in a dream.
Sample test is: Try summoning tomorrow's newspaper, watch tomorrow's TV show, etc. Then compare....

I don't think it was a precognative thought, just an unconcious. Remember that the unconcious is the ruelr of the dream world, whether we are concious ourselves or not. I think that it was a message from your unconcious to you, and since it controls your dreams at a higher level than you do, it could choose to end it...

Next time, if there is a next time, as soon as you see something like that try to fight it. Start trying to gain clarity and to get more control, and don't let things fade...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

      So much to See (Under-stand)

If you people really want to do some amazing things...1st you must realize that DREAMS R REALITY! You people and your hue-man concepts! Concepts created from a unrealized, unaware, and restricted perception. Where did you get the idea that this dimension of Life is real? Is it because your minds (spirits) spend most of its consciousness here? Your thinking is the problem. Consciousness is all things, if you can not control or experience all things it is a direct reflection of your thoughts...meaning how you see (understand) Life. Why is it that every hue-man-ual mind (spirit) wants to go to Heaven? Well, it's because... Heaven is the place where all DREAMS come true...meaning, where all things become a reality. This is only possible because a person's mind (spirit) becomes 100% LUCID (AWARE). How do you THINK everything got here anyway?

      What ANGEL/ANGLE of perception R U?

Maybe for some reason unbenounced to Ev, there was a reason he was not suppose to remain in that dream. (what might have happened?) I'm not sure if whole hardeley believe it, but it is a point to Ponder.

Hmm, Yesterday I was thinking about the same thing.
Everything you see/feel/ hear is actually your thoughts. A model of world, based on perception.
I looked at the sky, and imagined that they are not "over there", but in my head. It's just my mind that tells me they are clouds.
Then I thought same way about almost anything, and achieved extreme clarity of perception...

One thought came to my mind long ago - what if you can merge your subconcious and conscious minds? And bring whatever images you want in your waking life? Both minds operate in the same terms - images.
So if you can blend them together you can achieve almost full lucidity in your waking life....
Scitzophrenics demonstrate this ability - they can hear their subconscious mind... So it's possible... The problem is - how to control it...

I am not saying that what you are saying is wrong, but the images: i am ages, doesn't really mean that. I say this because in spanish, images is imagenes. This means literally nothing in spanish, you can't devide it so it will have that same meaning, or anything similar.

      According to diccionary.com:
[Middle English, from Old French, from Latin img. See aim- in Indo-European Roots.][/b]
The origin of the word is from latin, then it was derived several times until it became what it is today.

Edit: I realized that some characters were not transfered from the original site(on the latin root) so here's the link in case somebody wants to check it out:
      http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=image

A closer translation would be imago, not img anyway....
      If I hadn't made me

Do you have an alarm clock? You could have been seeing the numbers.
