Dude, that exact same thing kept happening to me. it suckes ass. I also could barely move my arms and legs. so i spent the entire dream looking around at how realistic everything was. I WAS IMPRESSED. anyways, and hints. maybe our brains were drifting from almost awake into dreaming. that would explain why i was soooo awake in the dream. kind of like a seasaw wavering in the middle. Thats my best guess, so try to LD when you're a little more tired. or when you get into am LD, DONT MOVE. if you start moving you'll get too excited and your eyes will close. Just lay, sit, or stand to let yourself get used to it. In my first one i was so supprised i didnt move for for 5 minutes after my reality check. I followed that up with 15 minutes of closing eyes, immovable limbs, and failure at manipulation. |

Well, during my last LD (not during the WILD), since I couldn't look around (obviously ) I tried to concentrate on my other senses to feel the world around me as "real", and in the meantime I was slowly (to limit the risk of waking up) raising my upper body; I was almost ready to exit my bed when I told myself "Damn, how can I move around with my eyes closed? I won't see anything!", so at that point I did everything to open my eyes... |

I wish I can get impressed by being lucid. Even though my first one suprised me, my last 2 (even though I actually did something) didn't excite me. I think it might be the fact that I wasn't fully aware of my surroundings. And when I wake up it's hard to remember what I did the whole time. All I've done in my dreams so far is float (I think), fall, walk around, talk to people, summon people, and that's about it. Kinda sucks even though I had a lucid dream that lasted at least 40 minutes. It's like I forget what I wanted to do (the lucid task is one thing). |
