I just got my third ld last night and although i haven't tried controlling them, I've realized that they are all extremely hazy. Even when I try to increase vividness it doesn't work. Could it be that I don't pay attention to minor details in the real world? Does anyone wish to share some advise on how to make my dreams more vivid?

Silly as it sounds, try shouting, very forcefully, "CLARITY INCREASE!!" and mean it. Works for me. Shouting commands really help take control of everything. Other than that, the early morning LD's are usually longer and more vivid. WBTB usually induces the more intense LD's, in my experience.

thanks, I was thinking that I'd have to pay attention to every detail in life, and probably take up drawing. Do you think that would help anyway?

That depends how much attention you want to pay in your dreams, because the details will only really be needed if you go looking for them in dreams, and frankly, with the universe at my fingertips I tend to have other aims than looking at the detailsof the world around me.

try the notice to detail technique or rubbing your hands together to increase vividness.

Try this. Once you attain lucidity, immediately remind yourself that everything you are experiencing is a manifestation of your sleeping brain. I find that the more I remind myself of the true nature of the experience, the more clarity I gain.
