I find it hard to prolong my lucid dreams. I have read many topics by people saying about their dreams fading and it's always similar advice: rubbing hands, dream spinning, etc. But what my problem is is telling when the dream is starting to end. I can never feel it. It just stops. Any suggestions? |

once the LD fades, just lay in your bed and dont move much. Visualize the last clear scene/image from the faded LD. Focus on it and there's a high chance that you will be able to reenter the LD you were having within a minute or two. |

An alternate method which I'm fond of is exerting no control on the dream at all. Exerting control in lucid dreams tend to reduce the length of it, it seems. |

DOH!
Thanks for the ideas. I will try BeautifulDreamer's idea. It sounds like it could work. |

Is there a limit to how long you can prolong one dream in a night? |

The hand rubbing technique works for me as well. |

I had a lot of trouble prolonging LDs as well in my first few. I tried spinning, hand rubbing and whatnot, but everything failed. And then I realized my problem was stressing too much about waking up, and everntually I did |

Rubbing Hands? |

Now I remember. This is the technique from "The art of dreaming", right? You are supposed to use your hands as some sort of an "anchor" for your lucidity. Every time dream blurs or fades glance at your hands to reinforce your lucidity. |
