Ive been writing in a dream journal for about 2 months, and ive had about 6 lds since then. but, once i'm lucid, I only stay that way for about 30 seconds, then i forget that its a dream. It's really frustrating!! I never have any time to explore or try new things. any tips?

As soon as you realize you're dreaming, don't do anything until you stabilize the dream. I like to lean up against a wall and take a few breaths. Once I'm calm enough, I'll go about my business, sometimes reaffirming to myself that this is a dream, as pyrofan suggested.

for me some lds are more distracting that others. For the more distracting ones i do constant reality checks constantly telling myself that it is a dream.

just do what you would usually do.... and every 5 seconds or so say "Im dreaming".

      That helps a lot.
