7 failed lucid dreams due to.. what?

This morning I woke up but rather than getting out of bed I decided to try morning WILDs. It worked very well, I was lucid within a few minutes but a few problems kept arising:

      1. I had a hard time keeping my eyes open. It felt as though my eyes were so tired that I cold not physically keep them open, despite my will to do so.
      2. I don't know about anyone else, but my body (after a false awakening) would not work well. It would move slowly and jerky as if I was 'lagging'
      3. I had a very, very hard time maintaining lucidity. I did spinning, falling, concentrating on an object, verbal commands, willing myself to stay lucid, doing multiple reality checks, etc and I always kept losing lucidity because if I tried to do anything other than maintain lucidity, I would awake.

Does anyone have any suggestions? My guess is that my body was done sleeping (It was about 12pm when I started) so I kept waking up because of that. Maybe when you're dreaming and your body is awake, you feel tired in the dream world... hm.

That happens to me more often during the mornings. I don't know if you were still sleeply or tired, but when I am I have a hard time with dreams, especially when you just woke up in the morning. Most of my clear dreams, both lucid or regular, occur during the middle of the night. Though with my new method of closing the curtains in the morning I been getting clearer morning dreams as well.

What I did was drape a light blanket over my head to block out all the light which helped, but still didn't help enough.

Maybe I was just too awake to dream
