You're having dreams. Several dreams. Depending on how long you sleep, you're probably having 4 - 6 a night.
I'm certain. In fact, I'm willing to stake every bit of money I'll ever make in my life on it. Unless you have some form of brain damage (and to date, I've only heard of one person), you're dreaming. You just have no recall, which can be overcome rather easily.
While I was never as bad as to go more than one night without recalling any dream, I used to only have fragments of one dream when I woke up. If I was semi-lucid, I'd generally remember most of it, but other than that, no full dream recall. The best way to solve this: Keep a Dream Journal. It doesn't even have to be a fancy book. I just use a stack of lined paper that I keep under my bed. When you are in bed and before falling asleep at night, convince yourself that you are going to wake up after your dream, and you are going to write it down. Don't think 'maybe if I tell myself, it might work'. You have to know it will work. If you are unable to convince yourself that you will remember your dream, you probably won't. When you wake up, DO NOT MOVE AN INCH. Lay there for 5 minutes, gathering all the little fragments you can. When you can't remember any more, grab your paper and write it down. While you write it down, you'll probably remember more, or even seperate dreams. Write down every little detail you can think of, even if it's a tiny insignifigant thing. If you can remember exact dialog, write that down too.
Don't be discouraged if the first few days you only have 3 or 4 lines. That all I had on my 1st day. This morning, which is my 6th day, I had several pages worth.
