      Breathing

Ok I have been having a lot of lucids dreams lately, 6 in the past 4 days. All of them put together lasted like less than a minute however. Well all of them except for one I had this morning.

I had one dream before it where I tried spinning and it went really bad(woke up as soon as I stopped), so I was worried I would wake up in seconds again and I tried something different. I was near a swimming pool and I dove in then I sank to the bottom. I sat there at the bottom of the pool, breathing in and out under water. Could feel the bubbles going up when I breathed out.

Everything got VERY clear, so I got out and walked around a bit. I could see everything like I was awake, and it was bright outside instead of kind of dark like a lot of my dreams. I got worried about waking up after awhile though so I jumped back in and tried again. I closed my eyes the second time though and when I opened them I was in a different place.

I was thinking very clearly though, even though the place looked a lot like my house was some small things different and I remebering thinking "Hmm I was just at the pool and now I am here, so I must still be dreaming" so I stayed lucid and walked around. It lasted awhile untill out of no where I just woke up.

Now I doubt you can find a pool in a lot of dreams but I think sitting down, relaxing and taking slow breaths might help. Nice thing is after I stopped it kept working. Normally when I try to spin or shout out commands it works, but then a few seconds after I stop it goes back to how it was.

I find that water in dreams is an interesting property in the first place. But i find that doing things that you would normaly not do makes a dream more clear if your already lucid.

Thats wierd, most people have to do somthing actice while dreaming, if you relax you usually wake up, or have a false awakening, anyway i guess its what ever works for you. I've only tried walking across water in my dream, i'll have to try going under and see what happens.

      why breathe?

As long as I'm lucid, I become hyperactive. Constantly running, flying, propelling myself, having sex, opening doors, talking to people. I couldn;t imagine spending a second of my dreams breathing. What's the point of breathing when you're in a dream body. I'd like to quote Morpheus in The Matrix. Said to Neo when they we're fighting and Neo was trying to catch his breath.

"You think that's air you're breathing?"

I've never even seen water in my dreams.

I find your dream very unique. I have never had a single experience with water in ANY of my dreams... I'm actually quite jealous.

I'll have to try it out i s'pose.
