Lightbulb Possibly new dream control idea

There has been alot of buses in my ld's lately and last night when i saw a bus outside my house in an ld i thought since i find it hard to get to places having poor dream control and all, i thought i could catch the bus and ask the bus driver i want to go to where i wanted to (after all thats what buses are for) u could also use the bus to visit a person.

I don't know whether this has been thought of before but i thought i'd post it and see what u think.

      Sounds like a plan.
An easier option would be to open a door to where you want to go. Works wonders for me

Exactly what I do. Though watching the journey taken through the window of the bus would be an interesting experience. I'd quite like to try that... Right after the next lucid task and my apparent lucid wedding.

Wouldn't you have to sit through the bus ride, then? "LD" means "limited duration." (Okay, it doesn't, but still.)
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.

Yeah you would, but being a dream it might only be a 5 second bus ride

What u could do is look at the floor on the bus then expect when u look up u will be there.

The only question now is, which side of the bus do you sit on?

I'd love to take a bus ride too! I wonder where it would go if I asked the driver to go wherever he wanted.

But wouldn't that still be where you wanted to go, just masquerading as another DC's will? I think we're straying into the realms of the Philosophy threads.

If u try this watch out for crazy bus drivers cause the last time i got on a bus i asked him for a return ticket to where i wanted to go, and he responded by saying that there is no tickets left but don't worry u can use this. He broke off a bell u use to stop the bus, gave it to me and just started laughing in a very crazy manner.

Half way through the journey i got off the bus, he was scaring me!

This gave me an idea for a method of portal opening I could try...

I grab a knife, slash the air in front of my and have it tear reality and create a rip for me to climb through...

I wonder which would be weirder, the people on a bus in an LD or people on a bus in real life?

(No offense to the bus riders among us...)

Good question. The few times times i have been on buses in ld's the people seemed pretty normal. I remember once i was at this bus stop and there were people on the bus but no driver so i improvised. I got in the drivers seat and drove off and i was trying to make conversation with the dc's on the bus at the same time but i think they were too scared to say anything. (when some random guy gets in the drivers seat and drives off i suppose anyone would) After a while i realised that there was a hot dc at the back of the bus so i asked a dc to take over which he did (what a nice dc) i went up to her and started kissing her then her dc friend started attacking me telling me to get off, shortly after i lost lucidity. (u gotta hate hot dc's friends.)

Soz i kind of got carried away with the post there.

I might try that next time spinning or creating portals doesn't work, but I don't usually see many buses, or any vehicles, in my dreams. But sounds like a good idea
