the famous subconsciousness!!

hi... im pretty new to lucid dreaming, ive had a few but many more will come as this lovely thing has comed in to my mind, and i am now consciones about it...LUCID DREAMING but i don really understand the word subconsciousness!!! if it was beneith the counsciones we schouldent be able to talk about it....!! what is it? what does it look like?....the truth is!! there isent a thing called subconsciousness!!! only the one we make our self!! as long there is things we dont wanna look at or take responsability for...we will have the "subconsciousness"...we use it to put the bad things away!! but i think now...now when we have a thing called lucid dreams, we have to get rid of the subconsciousness... and take responsability of our lifes!! that is if we wanna take the full advantage of lucid dreaming...but again its just my oppinion...but i will report as i progress towards complete freedom and control over my own thoughts.... im just happy to have ran in to you guys and lucid dreaming, because when lucid, it will go freaking fast forward, towards FREEDOM

Subconciousness has nothing to do with morality. It is, in my opinion, always evil - since it controls our instincs. Man has to overcome instinct. Good luck LD'ing!

It's called the subconscious (no need for the -ness), as opposed to the conscious. The subconscious mind is in no way a separate being or any such. It's part of us, entirely. But it is different from our conscious mind frame. It holds our instincts indeed, our emotions, our true intent (as opposed to conscious will power) and so on. However, Freud would argue that there are three layers of our mind and our instincts aren't held by our subconscious but I prefer to think of the simpler model. So, indeed, the subconscious is part of us so it can't be used to cast blame away from us. However, it isn't always simple to make the conscious overcome subconscious decisions. Sure, you'll still be acting upon them yourself and still be aware of the actions you take, the subconscious is part of you, not someone separate brainwashing you, but nonetheless, the subconscious is a meaningful part of who you are and shouldn't be taken lightly.
