      mirrors...

Just had a lucid dream and i was experimenting with mirrors and passing through one.

At first i just tried to pass my fingers through since this was my first time doing this. It worked, it felt really weird though. I knew i was ready. I grabbed a mirror, but it was much to small, so i enlarged it. I placed it on the floor and placed my hands on it. Applied little pressure and soon enough my whole arm was inside. It felt like melted metal(in liquid form, save the burning). At first there was a little bit of resistant in keeping me out, but the mirror seemed to turn more liquid, the more i delved in. I was being hunted down and i decided to fall in completely. I did and later I saw myself falling from the sky wrapped in some bag and hit the ground. I've lost lucidity, but it was great. It seemed that the mirror proved to be a gateway to another dreamworld.

So has anyone fooled around mirrors or passed through one? what was your experience? what did the inside of the mirror feel like? did it bring you to another dreamworld? etc. Im very interested in what you guys have to say.

I've had a few experiments with mirrors, but they were a bit different than yours.

A few months ago i was in an LD doing different things that i like to do. I saw some staires leading to the sky and at the top of the staires there was a huge mirror. I jumped in it and then i was going extremely fast through a warp pipe that was made out of just mirrors. The feeling was like being on a super fast roller coaster. Anyways at the end of the warp pipe, i would fall down into pitch blackness and then a whole new dream setting would appear; and i would be younger; things would look and feel more vivd, euphoric.

So basically in each different dream setting i would find another mirror, jump in it, get warped to a different dream setting, and i would be a few years younger each time. It was pretty cool, some of the settings were actually things i had done in the past and places that i had been to.

Wow! Both experiences sound really cool!

I have yet to enter a mirror because.. I have a slight mirror-phobia thing when I'm by myself. It's all because as a kid I watched those movies where some ghost would come out of a mirror and some kid would walk into one and get trapped in the "mirror world".. *shudder* lol Eh, maybe I can overcome this by actually doing it in a LD. Some day. Some day.

I read this post yesterday, and thought that maybe I'll try this some time. Actually, I tried it last night, without really intending to do it. I was in my front yard, and I walked to the side of my house and saw a liquor cabinet I have with a mirror on top. I jumped in (it's kinda too small, but I didn't think about that at the time). All I know is that it changed scenes for me. I don't recall what I saw in the mirror.. I think it may have just been a silvery colour. I also didn't feel anything strange while going through it.

I later had another LD, and I was on a dark highway in between two cars. I thought "hmm.. maybe I can jump through this car window, and it'll have the same effect as a mirror". I jumped through, and sure enough my dream scenery changed. I think it may have helped that it was dark out and I couldn't see through the window, so it was much like a mirror... anyway, just thought I'd share my experiences.
