Talking How come i wasn't able to control my self in my lucid dream?

Last night i had two LD's. One was a WBTB/ WILD and the second was right after DEILD. When i entered the first lucid dream it was cool. I didnt see any images but i could feel that i wasn't on my bed anymore. Like what happened was i closed my eyes and i felt that i physically still on the bed. I call that Stage 1. In Stage two is where i was no where. It was just black but i could not feel the bed any more. I heard a "click" sound as if a door had just been unlocked or something and then i was in my Dream. In my dream i was on my bed. Infact the only things that were different was that i couldnt see a door, There were polka dot curtains by my closet and the lighting was Green. So when i knew i was dreaming i didn't get too excited. So i tried to get out of bed and i couldn;t! Like every time i tried to get up it was like a force was pushing me down. At first i thought. oh this may be the affects of sleep paralysis, just getting twisted into my dream or something. I tried getting up and i did but i was like shaking. I tried to look at my hand ( i knew i was already dreaming but i wanted to see how it looked like). And i couldnt. I had trouble raising my hand aswell. And then the dream ended. It went back to the stages but backwards. First there was black. I was still in the "dream state" then there was more black (inbetween the dream and actually life.. There was like nothing and this lasted for about 3 seconds) Then there was black but i could sense that i was finnaly back in bed. So looked at the cieling and shook my hands a bit. Then try to enter the dream again. The same stages that i mentioned in the begining happened. I also heard the click again. This time i could walk around but that was pretty much what i was limited to.. I knew that i couldnt waste any time and i had to look for a DC so that i could ask them to tell me to do a RC the next time i'm dreaming ( i heard this worked). Well anyways i told some one but i forgot who i told. Sooner or later the dream ended ( going through the stages again) . and i went back to bed.. Im guessing that about both dreams lasted a total of 5 minutes but i really couldn't tell the time.

How come i couldnt get up the first time and stuff? and when you enter a LD do you always go through hypnogic imagery/ Paralysis cause i dont think i did. I just felt as if my body had gone through different stages...

Most of the time people enter a REM-stage dream without noticing any HI or SP. This also applies to LDs.

It is likely that you couldn't control yourself or move much because of two things. First of all you are new at LDing. Second of all, you paid so much attention to the fact that you couldn't move. If this sounds confusing, check out The Nature of Dream Control by The Cusp here. It will explain everything.

. Maybe im being stupid but since you said REM STAGE dream. Does that mean you can enter a dream or something thats not associated with REM? So i just imagine my self in a place for like 10 minutes then i will be in that place? Sorry i didnt get that but i did get what you said after and thanks for the link.

You probably could, I think I know it is possible, but N-REM Dreams are short and not as strong as REM Dreams, because they occur during different phases of sleep. This is the reason most N-REM Dreams are forgotten when you wake up.
