When you say you were unable to control your body- were you trying to? |
|
I had a 'lucid' dream the other night if you can call it that. I say that because i knew i was dreaming and was constantly telling myself that i was dreaming but i still had no control over my body or surroundings...anyone else ever had this problem? |

Hey Point |

Ive had these many times, normally nightmares when i know i am dreaming but cant snap out of it i know that the fire breathing zombie bullfrog cant hurt me because im dreaming but i am not in full control and as you said its just like watching a movie. |

Well, in a lucid you normally have an *aha!* moment and then you decide what you're going to do. Maybe it was "low level" lucidity? Anyway the thing about moving your body is that you shouldn't try thinking about moving your arm like in a daydream- instead you should try moving your arm like when awake. Even when the dream is in third person view you can usually just feel for your body or try moving it and what do you know- you have a dream body. Doing that may cause a false awakening sometimes, though. |

Its good that your recognizing that your dreaming but as Point said maybe it was just low level?. As i said i do often have dreams and I'm keep telling myself I'm only dreaming but cant do anything that i want to do just like a normal dream. |

i was walking through my home town when i realised that some things were not right with my surroundings and people were acting oddly, i then proclaimed to myself that i was dreaming |

Hi Cleef, |
|
Well, so that was definitely a lucid. An odd one by my standards, though. |

Doood! All my dreams are like this. I rarely wake up and remember my dreams, I usually wake up and remember being in the dream at some point. |
