it is said that when you are able to control your dreams you can look down at your hands, and if you open one of them up you will see something. what do you see in your hand? |

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
alot of times when i look at my hands all of my fingers get stuck and melted together. |

Well, i just looked at my hands last night in a non LD dream and I saw nothing wrong. The only thing maybe was that my skin was a little dry and that it was sorta interfaced with a power meter/indicator |

I look at my hands a lot in Lucid dreams. The first time they were normal. Then i thougt wtf are they really my hands so i looked again. This time they were disfigured. Slowly over time my hands have become more and more normal. I wear rings, they now appear when i look at my hands. So my hands look as they do in waking life. I look at them a lot if i feel i'm loosing dream control. This stabilizes me. Oh and as for seeing anything in my hand like an eye for example i have not. |

"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.
Hit me with music now, oh now, hit me with music, harder, brutalize me". Bob Marley.
I didn't look down at my hands, but lifted my hands up in front of me rather. I was missing two fingers on my left hand, and one on my right hand. I pulled them down to my side, and put them back up in front of me. They had switched hands; I was now missing one finger on my left hand, and two on my right hand. Didin't pay enough attention as to which fingers they were. |

I looked down at my hands they were just pretty normal looking just a lil wavy like when you look at something in a heatwave but abit misty. 8) |

a child's rhyme stuck in my head
it said life is but a dream
i spent so many years in question
to find i known this all along..
I have never seen the palms of my hands in an LD, but I see the backs many times, and they look perfectly normal. However, normally I possess abilities like telekinesis in dreams, that I activate through use of my hands, even flying i have to put my arms up sorta. I always wondered why I could never look at my palms, and only the backs, but I've done lots of fun stuff, like eats a truckload of food (literally) in a my dream and read a 4,000 page UNIX manual in like 2 minutes. Don't ask me why it was there, or how I could read it, it just was. Most things though I can usually read, but it changes if i glace away and look back, sometimes the pages even go blank or the letters melt off the paper. Phone's are fun in dreams though.. i can never line up the numbers right, so i just make names appear on them. 8) |

The only time ive ever seen at my hands in a LD was during a reality check where they where all bumpy and disfigured looking. Nothing in my hands. |

I never look down at my hands in my dreams. In fact I never really look down at all. Strange that. My perspective seems to stay forward and I never look up or down. |
|
Never looked IN my hands... but when looking down - they were salad spoons once. |

Tips For Newbies | What to do in an LD
Unless otherwise stated, views expressed in this post are not necessarily representative of the official Dream Views stance. Hell, it's probably not even representative of me.
In dreams my hands are blurry, and sometimes have the wrond number of fingers. I never look at them unless I am doing a reality test or trying to convince myself 100% that I'm dreaming though. |

When i hold my hands before my face in my dreams i c just my hands, |

Your Dreams are Truly Yours!
My last LD I glanced into my hands. But they sorta mutated into chopstick finger hands. It was kind of strange but I guess I was probably just hungry or something.. |

I once had a dream, where I looked at my hands, and I thought to my self, "this is a dream" and then my hands started to "decay" in great detail, and I could even feel them decaying. It was quite painful, but I didn't want to let this ruin lucid dreaming for me (at the time, looking at my hands was the only method I knew of) so I willed the pain away, but then I woke up. |

If you don't like my fire, then don't come around.
after reading in some of castanedas work about how don jusn tells him to look at his hands in his dreams and to learn to stabilize the vision of them i thought it would be important to do so myself if i ever got the chance |
