Dream Happening Like You Want It To

This question is for experienced LDers and those that easily remember their dreams. I know that with practice, you can dream about a subject that you want to dream about.

My question is, have you ever had a dream happen exactly like you envisioned to to happen? Meaning that every detail of the dream is exactly like you visualized. For example, say you want a dream to go like "I go to the mall, I enter Macy's, I buy a purple gown."

I would have to say from my personal experience as an avid LDer who remembers her dreams almost every night, that I can dream about the subject I intended to dream about, and maybe even the same or a similar scene, but that a dream has never actually happened exactly as I had planned on it happening.

I find this frustrating at times, because sure, I might have dreamed about something I wanted to dream about, but I never got that 100% fulfillment from living out the dream I originally planned on dreaming.

Does this make any sense? For LDers who HAVE had a dream happen as planned, how did you do it?!

Oh yes this has happend a few times. When i finally decide what i want to dream about, lets say its about a certain person. If that person is the last thing on my mind, and if i think about that person hard enough then, i end up dreaming about that person. The thing is before last year, i never tried this. All the times that i've tried it this way, it worked. But the only way it'll work is if, i absolutely know what i want to dream about. Because if i can't decide what i want to dream about, i would dream about something completely different, and it would be a dream that i don't like. So if you want to dream about what you want, the best thing that i can tell you is, to think about that dream as hard as you can, and have that visualization of that dream be the last thing on your mind as you go to sleep. It should work.

I do the same thing - I will visualize about the person I want to dream about, and I will dream about them. The only problem is that most of the time, the dream never happens how I want it to. Like I might dream about the person, but their appearance changes. Or, the subject of the dream is completely different than what I want it to be, despite visualizing the night before.

I have had only a handfull of highly planned LDs go exactly as planned. But only if I keep the plan limited. The plan can't be like: "I'll be on a white sand beach with two palm trees, my friend Cherry will be there wearing a red dress, we'll drink cocktails with blue umbrellas in them." The plan has to be more like: "I'll see Cherry on a beach and we'll chat."

I could definatly plan to go to a store and buy a nice dress. But planning on Macy's and a purple dress would be much harder. However, if I plan even less it is much easier. Like: "I'll see Cherry and we'll chat." Instead of shopping for a dress I could just have it and that would be very easy.

When I have a very important plan for a LD that needs to work out according to a detailed plan I think about it all day, every day, until it happens. The more I think about it and the more emotionally involved with the plan I get the more likely it is that it will happen just as planned. Visualization is also important. If I can get all of my sense involved in my imagining the better it will turn out.

Hm, that's interesting, i never thought about thinking about a plan for an ld all day every day until it happens. I'm gonna try that.

seeker28, that is good advice. I'm always trying to make my dreams happen with attention to the tiniest detail. Maybe if I made things more generic, like going to a mall instead of an exact store in a mall, I would have more success with specific dreams happening.

I'm glad you like my advice! I know keeping the plan more limited really increases my success!
