Thread: flying problem

Woh, that's a weird one...Have you tried using a different method of flying? Or maybe its just because you didn't believe you could fly in the LD...I've had the same problem in my first and only LD where i crouched down, put my hands in the air, looked up, said to myself "I CAN fly!" Then i jumped as high as i could and in no time i was kinda flying until i put my arms down to my sides and came crashing down. I broke my ribs in that LD

Jeez! I hope it didn't hurt (i.e. your dream ribs). As for my dream I now think it's cause I didn't do anything to stabilize it first and insted just rushed flying. I read some tutorials and hoperfully my next LD will be much cooler and not so blurry.

Woah! Where did that come from?

I almost always fly in my lucid dreams and in a some cases i have had trouble controlling what happens. In the most recent lucid dream, i had to say to myself "go foward" or "go left" for my body to move in that direction.
I remember one time i tried to space, but i couldn't get past the tree line and just ended up giving up on it. It is inconsistant sometimes when i can fly, but when i get it down, it is so much fun. Try imagining yourself flying like in the T.V. shows Heroes or Dragon Ball Z or something, it might help.

i just recently had a flying problem. i just jumped in the air like as if i'm on the moon and float down.

near the end of the dream i just did like a half super man stance kind of thing (arms/legs half extended) and i flew until i woke up.

i think i was trying too hard in the beginning

In my first lucid dream, I flew. But I fell to ground because I wasn't focusing enough on flying. (in that same lucid dream) I took off again, and this time I concentrated on the night sky and kept going until I awoke very excited. I woke up because I was to excited. This lucid dream took place right after I learned about lucid dreaming and on my first try on trying to have one!

i fly in alot of my dreams.. thats why i call my self kind of "semi-lucid" cause i know im dreaming, but i dont.. hard to explain but what im getting at is...
i cant really fly i jump crazy heights and distances tho.. it doesnt feel like flying, more like giant leaps to where ever im going... if i cant make it in one jump i go from tree top to tree top...

i guess its flying, i juss dont do a superman stance.. i fly like a human would hahaha..

that's the best idea I've heard on DV.

i can jump way higher then tree tops if i need to, like in the clouds.. but most of the time i go from the tree tops so i can see wat im doing...

i dont think i have control over myself tho... maybe i do im hoping to find out next time it happens.. i been havin dreams like(flying dreams, not really lucid) this my whole life and just started reading about it last week..
