      not really connected

I feel too “far” from my dreams. It’s like watching a bit of a movie, not much interaction at all…..and I dream weird crap every night and I never become lucid-it’s annoying and ridiculous. Help? Please!

maybe that means you have a predisposition to enlightenment!!! (being able to see your life from the outside)

patience is required above all else in learning to dream. Like shift pointed out, take some time out a few times a day to just sit down somewhere random and watch what's happening around you quietly.

and when you do notice you're dreaming, don't immediately jump into it spastically- take a moment to breath and notice things around you with all your senses.

Learning to dream is much easier than it may seem- in fact, ironic as it may seem, it's much harder to continuously stay non-lucid that to just quietly let your lucidity rise.

I know what you mean Queen. That's usually what it feels like for me when I'm starting to wake up, yet frantically trying to save the dream even though I can hear my alarm clock going off. Maybe you just get too excited once you become lucid and the dream starts to slip away. I usually tell myself to calm down and I really try to focus on the dream and things in the environment.

For example, I'll really stare at the tree next to me and notice all of the detail and I'll run my hand across it and feel the bark. This usually gets me focused and the dream starts to become real again.

      I agree with Shift.

I also suggest that you might like to try looking into a mirror, it helps a lot.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
